Sigma recently had a 20% off code (instead of the usual 10%) so I decided to purchase a few of the brushes I've been wanting to try out. I bought 2 face brushes; the F05 Small Contour & F55 Small Duo Fibre, as well as 2 eye brushes; the E25 Blending & E47 Shader Crease. Since my purchase was over $30, I also got a free mini Sigma Spa Glove.
F05 - Small Contour
Price: $16 * Buy At: Sigma & Sigma's Website http://www.sigmabeauty.com/Small_Contour_F05_p/f05.htm
The Sigma F05 Small Contour brush features a rounded, dense top & is to be used for contouring cheeks, says Sigma. I wanted a small countour brush like this because I have a smaller face, and I've found that lots of brushes are too big to contour my face.
This brush is nice and soft, but I find that some of the hairs stick out of the side, even as a brand new brush, this has happened to all of my Sigma brushes. I'm fine with it though, because it doesn't appear to make my makeup look any different.
F55 - Small Duo Fibre
Price: $16 * Buy At: Sigma & Sigma's Website http://www.sigmabeauty.com/product_p/f55.htm
The Sigma F55 Small Duo Fibre creates a controlled airbrush effect on the skin & is best used with cream/powder blush or highlighting products, says Sigma.
This brush is actually quite small. I new it would be since small is in the name, but it's really small! I'd also like to point out that this brush isn't very dense at all and is quite flimsy. It's because of these two things that I'm not really a huge fan of this brush. It didn't blend out my cream blush very well and I couldn't even see my highlight when using this brush! After trying to find uses for this for a month, it's safe to say that this brush is a huge letdown.
The F55 also comes with a small plastic shaper to hold the shape of the Small Duo Fibre brush.
E25 - Blending
Price: $10 * Buy At: Sigma & Sigma's Website http://www.sigmabeauty.com/Blending_E25_p/e25.htm
The Sigma E25 Blending brush is a popular Sigma brush that is a dupe for the Mac 217. The E25 is suggested to be used for controlled blending.
The E25 does a great job blending, whether it's on your lid, in your crease or under your brow. I'm a fan of this brush because it is a more dense brush. I've never been the biggest fan of flimsy blending brushes because I don't feel like they do anything, so a more dense brush like the E25 is perfect for me.
E47 - Shader Crease
Price: $10 * Buy At: Sigma & Sigma's Website http://www.sigmabeauty.com/E47_Shader_Crease_p/e47.htm
The Sigma E47 Shader - Crease brush has long, firm bristles that allows you to create a firm, precise application to the crease, says Sigma.
I really like this brush! It applies the shadow as opaque as your finger and somehow blends out the harsh lines! This brush is just amazing and can create the most perfect crease look when combined with the E25.
Mini Spa Brush Cleaning Glove
This was just a little version of Sigma's Spa Glove, which is meant to be used to clean brushes. You can get one with any $30 purchase.
