Price: $5.00 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 8 mL The Nyx Butter Gloss in Gingersnap is a dark mauve brown with no shimmer or glitter. The Nyx Butter Glosses have a classic doe foot applicator and come in a plastic tube the same color as the gloss. The formula of the Butter Glosses is a bit on the thicker side, but it has a very smooth and comfortable texture on the lips. Gingersnap has pretty nice color payoff, but since it is a gloss it can be an easier way to wear a brown lip. The Butter Glosses have a sweet bakery scent, which I am not a huge fan of, but it does not linger. The color lasts on the lips for a couple hours, with the gloss of course disappearing first. It can begin to feel a bit sticky as it wears off, but that is typical with lip glosses. XOX ♥

How To | Step by StepTo prime my eyes for this look, I applied the Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer. As a base for the outer half of my lids, I used the Tarte SmolderEYES Liner in Taupe. On the inner half of my lids and the inner corner of my eyes, I applied the Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk. In the crease, I used a medium matte taupe, Tease from the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. I applied this shade from the inner to outer corner of my eyes. To soften up the edge, I applied You're A Natural from the Tarte Showstopper Palette, which is a light matte taupe shadow. On the center of the lids, I applied YDK from Naked 2. Also from Naked 2, I used Snakebite on the outer portion of the lid and blended the two shades together. For the bright pop of chartreuse, I used the shimmery yellow green from the Sleek iCANDY iDivine Palette. I really packed on the color using a small detail brush, applying it in the inner corner as well as the inner third of the lids and lashline. While I typically use a darker, matte shadow for my lashline, I decided to switch it up for this look. I applied Half Baked from the Naked 2 Palette all over the lower lashline, bringing the color down a bit further than I usually would. To complete the eye makeup, I applied the Maybelline the Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara and the Wet n Wild Mega Volume Mascara to the top and bottom lashes. In the waterline, I used the Sephora Nano Liner in Pure White.
XOX ♥ Price: $2.99 * Buy At: Walgreens * Size: 0.27 fl oz The Wet N Wild Mega Volume Mascara comes in a bright yellow tube and has an average sized wand with natural bristles. The Mega Volume Mascara has a thinner formula, giving the lashes a more natural look. Because of this, the mascara does not provide much added thickness to the lashes, just length and volume. I don't find this mascara to clump, which can make it a great first coat mascara. While it typically is not a problem for me, I have not found this mascara to smudge or flake throughout the day. This previously had been one of my favorite mascaras, but they repackaged it and it is not quite the same any more. On my lashes is two coats of Wet n Wild Mega Volume. XOX ♥
Price: $36 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 3 x 0.07 oz & 6 x 0.03 oz The Too Faced Natural Matte Eye Shadow Collection is a palette consisting of nine neutral shadows with a matte finish. The Natural Matte palette comes in a small tin, like Too Faced's other palettes. The palette contains three large shadows and six smaller shadows that are divided into three rows: Day, Classic and Fashion. All of the shades in the palette perform great, I wouldn't call any of the shadows a dud. They all have a very smooth texture and very nice color payoff. I really like the selection of colors this palette provides and you could create a ton of different eye looks using just this shadow collection. The only color I would want to add in would be a black, since I often use it as a liner shade. The Natural Matte Eye Shadow Collection would be a great way to get into or expand your selection of matte shades, and they are all quite easy to work with! XOX ♥
How To | Step by StepTo prime my lids for this look, I used the Nyx Dark Circle Concealer. As a transition shade in the crease, I applied KOCO by Beauty Brands Eye Shadow in Starlet on a Sigma E25 brush. In the crease, I applied Inglot #344 with the Zoeva Luxe Defined Crease Brush. I also highlighted a bit under the brows using Inglot #318. All over the lids, I applied Inglot #318 with my finger. You could make the white lid much more bright and intense, but I wanted the white to be a bit softer. Using a Zoeva Smudger Brush, I applied a dark shimmery grey, Pewter from the Stila Eyes Are The Window Palette in Spirit. I buffed out the color a little bit with the same taupe Inglot shadow and the Zoeva Luxe Petit Crease Brush. For my eyeliner I changed it up a bit. Instead of stopping before the inner corner like I usually do, I applied liner in the inner corner and I actually really like the look of it. I used the Inglot 77 Liner Gel, which is a classic black. To finish off the look, I curled my eye lashes and applied both the Jordana Best Lash Extreme Mascara and the Maybelline the Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara on the top and bottom lashes.
XOX ♥ Price: $5.00 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 8 mL The Nyx Butter Gloss in Red Velvet is a medium pink toned red gloss with no shimmer or glitter. The Nyx Butter Glosses come in small colored tubes with classic doe foot applicators. They have a sweet bakery scent, which a lot of people really like, but I am not a huge fan of it, although it doesn't linger too long. Red Velvet has a very smooth texture and feels very comfortable on the lips. I am someone that is easily irritated with lip glosses, and the Butter Glosses are one of the only glosses that I will wear. Red Velvet is very pigmented and gives the lips an almost opaque look. After a while, the color can tend to settle around the outlines of the lips, so I would keep this gloss with you for touch ups throughout the day. XOX ♥
