Price: $5 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.6 fl oz The Makeup Revolution Salvation Lip Lacquer in More Than I Could Give is a soft peachy pink with a glossy shine. The Makeup Revolution Salvation Lip Lacquers come in a small clear tube and have a typical doe foot applicator. Although it is given the name “lip lacquer”, I find it to pretty much just be a lip gloss. I really like the texture and formula of this product, it is super thin and does not feel sticky at all, even less than my favorite Nyx Butter Glosses. The formula is very comfortable on the lips, and would work great as a lip color to just toss in your bag for everyday wear. On the lips, More Than I Could Give has a really nice glossy shine and gives the lips a wet appearance. So, while I did not initially think that I would be a fan of this product, I actually really like it and will probably look into other shades! XOX ♥

How To | Step by StepTo prep for this look, I first primed my lids with Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I then applied my transition shade in the crease: Believe from the IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Must-Haves Eye Set. All over the crease, I applied a teal shadow from a MAC duo. Unfortunately, the shadow doesn’t have a name. In the outer corner of my eyes, I applied a burgundy shadow from the Makeup Revolution Romantic Smoked Palette. I also highlighted my inner corners with Inglot #318. Keeping up with jewel tones, I used the L’Oreal Infallible Shadow in Amber Rush all over my lids. On the inner portion of my lids, I also applied a bit of the gold shade in the Essence All About Sunrise Palette. I used the same crease shade on the lower lashline and blended it into some more of the gold shadow. As per usual, I curled my lashes and applied mascara to complete the look.
XOX ♥ Price: $44 * Buy At: Sephora * Size: 9 x 0.04 oz The Make Up For Ever Artist Shadows 4 Palette comes with nine small matte eyeshadows (0.04 oz each versus 0.07 oz of the single shadows) The Make Up For Ever Artist Shadows 4 Palette comes in a cute sturdy square package. Like all of Make Up For Ever’s eyeshadows, the colors do not have names, they are all assigned numbers as you can see on the back of the palette. The palette is suggested to be used in columns, using the black, grey and white together, the pinky tones together, and the dark teal, beige and ivory together. The worst shade in the palette has got to be the black. You can hardly see a difference between it and the dark grey. The darker pink shade also appears pretty dry in the swatch, but it does apply to the eyes better than it swatches. I found that to be true for a majority of the shades. As you can probably see in the swatches, the shades appear a bit on the dry side, but they do apply evenly to the eyes and blend out easily. XOX ♥
Price: $32 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.2 oz The Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder in Luminous is a champagne with iridescent shimmer. The Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder comes in a pretty cardboard box that has a lower compartment with a small brush. The packaging is a bit on the bulky side, so it is not a product I would travel with. The product on the inside has a dome shape and a drier texture, since it is a baked product. Despite the dry texture, Luminous still provides the right amount of pigmentation to look gorgeous on the skin. I know that this kind of highlight is not for everyone, as it does have straight up shimmer, but I find it to be absolutely gorgeous. Because of the shimmer, it can have a bit of fall out on the face, but the packaging catches any powder kick up when you swipe your brush. You really only need a tiny bit of the powder to get the glowy look, so this is a product that would surely last a long time. XOX ♥
Makeup Revolution New-Trals vs Neutrals Professional Eyeshadow Palette | Review & Swatches10/19/2016 Price: $10 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.56 oz The Makeup Revolution New-trals vs Neutrals Professional Eyeshadow Palette consists of sixteen neutral shadows, in a variety of finishes. The New-trals vs Neutrals Palette comes in the same black packaging as Makeup Revolution’s other palettes. As you can see--especially in the top row--this palette has some pigmentation issues. The first three shades in my first swatch photo are hardly visible, and that is not because of the lighting or anything, the shadows are really that sheer. In Ulta, there are not testers of Makeup Revolution products so I just bought it after seeing some online swatches, but the quality of this palette looked nothing like the photos I looked at. This palette really just disappointed me, especially since I have other Makeup Revolution products that I quite enjoy. Because of this palette, I don’t think that I will be trying out other Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palettes, but will still try other products from the brand. I rarely have negative product reviews, so this is a real bummer. XOX ♥
Price: $5 * Buy At: Target * Size: 0.44 oz The Wet n Wild Contouring Palette in Dulce De Leche is a duo featuring a matte highlight and contour powder. The duo comes in a fairly large, circular compact with a clear lid. Both shades come with quite a bit of product, and since the pans are so large, it is easily fits most brushes. The powders have a smooth, silky texture. They are a bit powdery and do kick up some excess product in the compact, but it does not affect the final result. Both colors have great pigmentation, as you can tell in my swatches. The contour shade looks quite natural on the skin--it’s not too warm or too cool, and it blends out very easily. Since the highlight shade is matte, it is geared more towards brightening up and setting the skin, than to give a glow. As far as drugstore contour products go, I definitely think that this Wet n Wild duo is a great product, in addition to being super affordable. XOX ♥
Price: $6 * Buy At: ColourPop Website * Size: 3.2 g The ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Jellies is a muted dark royal blue with a matte finish. The Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks come in a long clear tube and have a typical doe foot applicator. Jellies has a thin formula that applies opaquely onto the lips. As you can probably imagine, the formula does feel drying on the lips, but it does tend to feel more comfortable as wear goes on. The product will have a very good wear time, as long as you don’t rub your lips together or eat oily or greasy foods, as it will break down the color. Jellies is definitely not a color for everyone, but if you are familiar with my preferred lip colors, you would know that I love bold, edgy colors like Jellies. Blue lip colors are having a bit of a trend at the moment, and Jellies is a very affordable way to try out the trend. To add some comfort on top, I will sometimes use the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in Moscow which is a navy blue. This will give you the lasting power of Jellies, but with more moisture on the lips. Price: $25.50 * Buy At: Zoeva's Website * Size: 10 x 0.05 oz The Zoeva En Taupe Eyeshadow Palette contains ten shadows that are predominantly cool toned. Zoeva advertises that the shadows are formulated without parabens, phthalates, mineral oils or fragrances. The En Taupe Eyeshadow Palette comes in a thin cardboard package with a magnetic closure. There is no mirror inside, but that really doesn’t matter to me at all. I received a bad batch when I first bought this palette, but Zoeva was very kind and quickly sent me a new one, with shipping covered, which makes me love the company even more! The palette comes with three matte shades that are great for the crease and one matte highlight shade, which I appreciate. The rest of the palette has some shimmer, three are dark and two are light. I would compare the formula of the shadows the most to Urban Decay, as they are smooth without being super soft, and have nice and even pigmentation. I wouldn’t call the pigmentation super intense like Lorac shadows, but they are easy to apply and they blend out super easily on the eyes. A variety of eye looks can be achieved using only this palette, but a deeper brown or black would be nice to use in combination since there aren’t any super dark shadows. XOX ♥
How To | Step by StepTo avoid the look being too cool toned, I started off with a warm color as a transition shade in the crease and along the lower lashline. I used Combust from the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette. Then I applied the Nyx Milk Jumbo Eye Pencil on the inner portion of my lids to make the teal pop. I also went in with the Sephora Jumbo Eye Pencil in Taupe on the outer portion as a base for the darker shadow. To deepen up the outer corner of my eyes, I used ..... also from the Naked Smoky Palette. I went back and forth between intensifying the color and blending it out. I used this shade also in the crease and along the lower lashline. Now for the fun part. I packed on the bright teal shade from the Nyx Brights Ultimate Palette on the inner half of my lids and as the highlight for the inner corners. To blend the teal into the dark lashline color, I applied a bit of green from the same palette. To make the look more dramatic, I used a black liner for my tightline and waterline. As per usual, I applied mascara to my top and bottom lashes. This time I used Benefit Roller Lash and Jordana Best Lash Extreme. To add some more drama to the smokey eye, I applied the Eyelure Volume 101 lashes.
XOX ♥ Price: $2.99 * Buy At: Kmart * Size: 0.11 oz / 3 g The Jordana Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Color in Mango Sorbet is a bright red-orange liquid lip color with a natural matte finish. The Jordana Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Colors come in a clear tube with a classic doe foot applicator. The product has a subtle vanilla scent, but it is not sickly sweet or overpowering. I find the formula to be a mix between the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams and a matte liquid lipstick. It has a moussy texture, but it sets more on the lips than the Nyx Lip Creams. Mango Sorbet is intensely pigmented and applies super smooth and evenly to the lips. Since it doesn’t dry down completely like a matte liquid lipstick, it doesn’t appear or feel drying on the lips, giving the lips a smooth appearance, not the “desert mouth” that some super matte lip colors tend to give. Mango Sorbet is an intense, vibrant color and the formula works well with it. I would only use a matte liquid lipstick for a bright lip color. Mango Sorbet doesn't have quite the wear time as the ColourPop Ultra Matte Lips, but it does stay on the lips better than a lipstick. XOX ♥
