Price: $42 * Buy At: The Balm Website * Size: 9 x 0.9 oz The Balm Meet Matt(e) Nude Palette is made up of nine neutral eyeshadows. The Balm always has the cutest packaging. The Meet Matte Nude palette has a guy (assumingly named Matt) on the cover and the back of the palette says that Matt is 6’2” and has an occupation of eyeshadow palette. The palette is cardboard and flips up, it has a mirror on the lid, but it does not stay open on its own. The colors are arranged in a pretty random order, which I think is funny and unique. As the "size matt(e)rs" tagline suggests, these shadows pack in a lot of product. Each pan contains 0.1 oz, compared to 0.05oz which is the typical shadow size. The shadows are soft, but I wouldn’t describe them as buttery. Pigmentation is fairly consistent across the nine shades and they all blend pretty easily. Meet Matt(e) Nude has a good variety of colors--it's got highlights, transition and crease colors and they do not all share a similar tone. You've got both warm and cool shades in the palette. If you were wondering, the Meet Matt(e) Trimony and Meet Matt(e) Nude palettes are very different, and do not have any similar shades, so I would not recommend one over the other. XOX ♥

Price: $22 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.11 oz The Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lipstick in Unicorn Tears is a sheer pink with blue iridescent shimmer. The Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lipsticks come in a nice quality gold tube. The product inside is cut at a flat angle, different than a typical lipstick. In the tube, Unicorn Tears appears to be a bright pastel blue, but somehow it has a sheer pink base. On the lips, this pink and blue combo looks like a gorgeous pastel purple, but you can still distinguish between the base and the iridescent shimmer. Unicorn Tears is super comfortable on the lips, it has a slick moisturizing feel that is somewhat balmy. This is a formula that I could see myself wearing on a daily basis, that is how nice it feels on. XOX ♥
Price: $4.99 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.52 oz The Essence Lighter Skin Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder is a bronzer designed for people that are on the more fair side. The Sun Club Bronzing Powder comes in a large compact with a clear lid. Because of the product’s light shade, I do not have to worry about going overboard like I do with most other bronzers. Even though the color is light, it still has very nice color payoff. The product gives warmth and color to the face, but does not make it look orange or muddy on the skin. The Sun Club Bronzing Powder applies and blends very easily on the skin, making it very foolproof! So, while this product is not geared towards everyone, (Essence also has a darker bronzer) I think it is absolutely great for anyone with a fair or even light skin tone, as bronzing is not always so easy. I have never done a fully drugstore makeup look, so I figured it was about time! I typically do not share what makeup I am wearing on my face or brows, but since they are all drugstore items, I will for this look. On my face I used the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Stick in 115, the Essence All About Matt! Powder, and the City Color Be Matte Blush in Blackberry. On my brows is the Nyx Eyebrow Gel in Blonde and I set them with the Nyx Control Freak Brow Gel. How To | Step by StepAfter evening out my lids with the Nyx Dark Circle Concealer and setting it with the same Essence Powder that I used on my face, I applied my transition shade. I used The Nyx Hot Singles Eye Shadow in Coquette all over my crease. To further deepen up my crease, I used the KOCO (by Beauty Brands) Eye Shadow in Starlet, which is a darker version of Coquette. In the outer corner of my eyes, I applied All About Nude from the Essence How To Make Nude Eyes palette. I didn’t use too much of it since this is intended as an everyday look, but you definitely could darken it up for some more drama. For my lid color, I used the Makeup Revolution Romantic Smoked Redemption palette. The shades in this palette don’t have names, but I used the the shimmery mauve shade all over my lids. I also highlighted my inner corners a bit with the matte ivory from the same palette. On the lower lashline, I used the same two crease shadows: Coquette and Starlet. I used Starlet right along my lashline, and used Coquette to blend it out. To finish off the look, I curled my lashes and applied the L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara and the Essence I <3 Extreme Mascara.
XOX ♥ Price: $59 * Buy At: Sephora * Size: 22 x 0.06 oz The Kat Von D MetalMatte Eyeshadow Palette consists of thirteen matte and nine metal finish shadows in a variety of neutral and colorful shades. The Kat Von D MetalMatte Eyeshadow Palette is made of sturdy carboard. The palette is very large--it is probably the longest palette I own. As you can see in the pictures of the palette, it says "matte" or metal" depending on which way you hold it. The matte shadows are all aligned on the bottom half of the palette and go from cool to warm, for the most part. The metallic shadows are laid out along the top and are circles instead. Large palettes like this often are a rip-off in terms of product size. Every shadow in the MetalMatte palette is 0.06 oz, 0.01 oz larger than a typical shadow, which is great! This palette is an easy review for me. I absolutely love this palette, I don't think I have been this impressed by a palette in quite a while! The matte shadows are just gorgeous, they are so intense and pigmented. The colorful matte shades have an amazing formula; I would even go as far to say that they are some of the best colorful matte shadows that I've ever tried. The cobalt blue, Velour, especially blew me away. All of my swatches are just once swipe with no sort of primer underneath. If you are familiar with Kat Von D's Shade + Light palettes, then you will know how great her eyeshadow formulas are. If you are familiar with her Metal Crush shadows, then you can also imagine the formula of these metallic shades. This palette really has it all: gorgeous mattes, intense metallics, warm colors, cool colors, neutrals and bright colors. Every shadow is smooth, soft and highly pigmented and they are so easy to blend. I think this palette is just so unique, and I am sure that this will be a palette that sells out quickly! XOX ♥
