The Cosmic Metals come in the same packaging as Nyx’s Liquid Suede Lip Creams: a clear tube with a black “jewel” lid and a long, flat applicator. All the shades have very good pigmentation (I only purchased three, but I did test all the shades at Ulta). The more product you apply, the less chrome it looks and the more shimmery it appears. The product is not uncomfortable on the lips, but tends to be a bit sticky. The wear becomes more comfortable after a little while, and it does not leave behind any gritty pieces of glitter. The Cosmic Metals are not the easiest to remove, they tend to leave behind a slight tint and some shimmer. I recommend using an oil (I like coconut oil) to remove the lip color, to avoid any unnecessary scrubbing. I love unique, bold lip colors, and I have been getting behind the metallic lip trend. These do not make a grey, blue or green lip more wearable, but I think they are gorgeous worn alone, or on top of a lipstick or lip liner. ​

The RImmel Provocalips 16 HR Kiss Proof Lip Colour in Play With Fire is a classic cool toned red liquid lipstick.

The Provocolips 16 HR Kiss Proof Lip Colour is a two step lip product. It comes in a thin tube with an opaque matte lip cream on one end and a gloss that locks in the color on the other. The Step 1 side applies very opaque and evenly to the lips. It dries to a matte finish pretty quickly and feels pretty sticky once it has dried. Because the product is so opaque, it can take a bit of time to make sure that the application looks good, but it is worth it to me. The Step 2 side is more like a gel than a gloss, since it has a pretty thick formula. I had to dip the wand back into the product three times to fully cover my lips. When worn together, it gives a balmy shine and it feels quite nice on the lips. It doesn't feel thick on the lips and the gloss is not sticky at all. After about an hour, the glossy shine is gone, but what is left behind is an intense lip stain that will not go away. I wore this product for eight hours before I noticed any type of fading, and I had to use makeup remover to get it off my lips. The color does not budge at all and lasts amazingly well through drinking and eating. I am extremely impressed by the longevity of this product and would suggest it to anyone, especially in darker or brighter shades like Play With Fire.

The Rimmel Show Off Matte Lip Lacquer in Apollo is a light peachy nude with a matte finish.

The Show Off Matte Lip Lacquers come in the same packaging as the original Show Off Lip Lacquers, but they are made of a matte plastic. Not only is the package sealed with a sticker, you can also tell if someone had tested it out by if the center plastic is clear or filled with product, as I displayed in one of the photos.They have a long doe foot applicator with a little divot in the center that allows it to hold more product. Apollo is very opaque and applies very smoothly to the lips. It has a similar texture to the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams, but the formula is even thinner. This color is a bit unforgiving, and while it applies smoothly, it tends to set a bit patchy. I have also found that it takes a while for the product to dry, unlike most matte lip products I have used. It doesn't completely dry down for about an hour, but after that I didn't experience any issues with Apollo moving around.

The Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in London is a warm tan lip cream with a matte finish.

The Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams come in a lipgloss-like tube with a doe foot applicator. London has a very smooth, creamy formula that glides onto the lips. It has an opaque formula and it has full coverage on the lips. The Soft Matte Lip Creams don't give the lips a dry look and don't have a dry feel, as many matte lip products do. It does dry out after about an hour or two, but the color lingers and is easily revived with a lip balm or nude gloss.

The Nyx Athens Soft Matte Lip Cream is a neutral peach liquid lipstick with a matte finish.

The Soft Matte Lip Creams come in a matte lip gloss-like tube with a doe foot applicator. The formula of the Soft Matte Lip Creams is interesting, and a bit hard to describe. It has a thin, somewhat slick feel that sort of feels like an oil on the lips. It's this feeling that makes the Soft Matte Lip Creams feel quite comfortable and moisturizing. Athens has very opaque pigmentation and applies like paint to the lips, since it's such a full coverage product.

The Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul is a medium warm pink liquid lipstick with a matte finish. Istanbul comes in a matte lipgloss-like tube and has a doe foot applicator.

The Soft Matte Lip Creams have a very opaque formula and are extremely pigmented. This does make the product not the quickest and easiest to apply, though, and I wouldn't suggest applying it without a mirror. The feel of the product on the lips is interesting and hard to describe. It feels thin and moisturizing but almost in an oil way versus a balm. It is in no way an oily product, but that's the best way I can describe the feel. The matte finish does make dry skin on the lips noticeable, and I find it best to apply a lip balm prior to the Soft Matte Lip Cream.
