How To | Step by StepI first started off by priming my lids with the Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer. For a base on my lids and lower lashline, I applied the Tarte SmolderEYES jumbo liner in Rose Gold, which is pretty much a bronze. As my transition shade, I used a rosy taupe shadow, Limit from the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. I applied the color with a Sigma E25 and blended out the color with a Sigma E40. To darken up the crease, I used Factory, also from the Naked 3 Palette. Using a Zoeva Luxe Pointed Crease Brush, I focused the color on the outer corner of my eyes and blended it towards the inner corner as well. I went back over both crease colors with a clean Sigma E40 to blend. I chose a quite different route for my lower lashline in this look. Typically I apply a tiny bit of a dark matte shadow right below my lashline and blend it out with a lighter matte shade. This time, I only used a shimmer shadow to add definition. Using a Coastal Scents Smudger Brush, I took Trick, a shimmery copper from the same palette, and applied it over the base color. I also applied a bit of this shadow on the center of my lids. As my highlight, I used my go to white shadow, Inglot #418. I used a small bit of the shadow to highlight my brow bone, and quite a bit of the shadow on a Coastal Scents Detailer Brush in the inner corners. For a subtle pop of color, I lined my waterline with Urban Decay Voodoo 24/7 Glide On Pencil, but you could always use a neutral color. After curling my lashes, I applied the Wet N Wild Mega Volume and the Maybelline the Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara to complete the makeup look.

Prices: $6.99 * Buy At: Target * Size: 9 g / 0.32 oz The Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free + Balance Foundation in 235 Pure Beige is a medium pink toned stick cream foundation. For anyone who has seen my blog in the past two years, you'll know that I have always been shades with names like ivory or light. However, I was recently in Mexico for a week and actually got much darker! The Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free + Balance Foundation is a stick cream foundation. It has a very thin formula that does not feel heavy on the skin, making it perfect for all year wear. The foundation gives the skin a natural matte finish that does not cling to dry patches, which I often struggle with. It provides medium coverage, easily hiding the look of pores, redness or an uneven skin tone. I don't experience this foundation looking patchy or oxidizing on my skin. As with most foundations, you may need to touch up with a bit of powder throughout the day, depending on your skin type. I am a really big fan of this line of foundation to anyone, whether your skin is on the dry side like mine, or if it tends to be more oily. XOX ♥
How To | Step by StepAfter priming my lids with the Nyx Dark Circle Concealer, I went in with my transition shadow. I used the purple shadow from the Lorac AfterGLO Palette on a Sigma E25. To deepen up the crease, I used the Zoeva Luxe Defined Crease Brush to apply Temper, a matte purple, from the Smashbox Double Exposure Palette. On the lids, I first applied Mauve from the same Smashbox palette. To lighten the color and add some more shimmer, I applied L'Oreal Liquid Diamond Infallible Shadow on top of it. I also highlighted the inner corner of my eyes with Inglot #318. In the waterline, I applied the Sephora 5th Avenue Contour Eyeliner, which is a dark grey. With the Zoeva Luxe Pointed Crease Brush, I smoked out the lower lashline with Smoke from the Stila In The Know Palette. As always, I curled my lashes and applied mascara to finish off the look. For this look, I used the Jordana Best Lash Extreme mascara and the Maybelline the Colossal Cat Eyes mascara.
XOX ♥ In order to continue posting, at least for right now, I am going to begin posting only every other day. I purchase all the products that I review (none are sent to me), which can make it quite difficult to have a new product to review every day! I would love to hopefully go back to posting every Monday through Saturday, but as of right now I am not able to continue with nearly daily posts. Thank you for understanding!
XOX ♥ Price: $20 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.04 oz (full size) The Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Voodoo is a mid tone purple with little bits of glitter. The 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils are traditional pencil liners that you have to sharpen. Despite the glitter in the product, the liner is still pretty creamy and glides on like other shades from the line. I have worn Voodoo on my waterline and did not have any irritation from the glitter. Voodoo has pretty good color payoff, but it's not completely opaque. Personally, I'm not really someone that often wears purple eyeliner, so I will not be getting a ton of use out of Voodoo, but I still enjoy the formula. XOX ♥
Price: $6.99 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 5 g / 0.18 oz The Nyx Tame & Frame Tinted Brow Pomade in Brunette is a medium cool toned brown cream brow product. The Tame & Frame Tinted Brow Pomade comes in a small plastic pot with a square base. This may be an odd way of describing a brow product, but I find the product to have a somewhat balmy feel. This is what keeps the product from going on too intense and opaque, but don't get me wrong, this product does have some great color payoff. The Tame & Frame Brow Pomade is not an exact dupe of the Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade, but they are quite similar in application and appearance. The Anastasia one does not budge at all when you rub it, while the Nyx one does fade a little bit. However, you probably are not going to be rubbing your eye brows throughout the day, so it should not be an issue. The Dip Brow Pomade is more on the creamy side, where as the Nyx version has more of a balmy texture. I have the Dip Brow Pomade in the shade Medium Brown, which is darker and a tad bit cooler in tone than Brunette. Overall, the Tame & Frame Brow Pomade is a really nice product and while I still think I prefer the Pomade by Anastasia, if you are looking to save some money, this one is a great choice as well! I created this look using all five shadows from the warm half of the new Lorac Alter Ego Heart Breaker Palette. To see my review and swatches of the palette, click HERE. How To | Step by StepAfter priming my lids with the Nyx Dark Circle Concealer, I used the matte tan shade from the palette on a Sigma E25 as my transition shade. In the crease, I used the Zoeva Luxe Petit Crease Brush and the shimmery medium brown shade. I typically wouldn't use a shimmery shadow in the crease, but the color looks pretty matte in the crease. All over the lids, I applied the shimmery red violet shade from the palette. Using a small pointed brush, I also used a bit of the shimmery light pink on the inner portion of my lids. For the lower lashline, I used the same two shades that I used in the crease. Using a smudger brush, I first applied the medium brown right below my waterline. With the matte tan shadow, I buffed out the color with the same Zoeva brush. To line my eyes I used the Sephora ColorProof Liquid Liner in Matte Brown. I also highlighted below my brows and on the inner corners of my eyes with the matte ivory shade in the palette. To finish the eye look, I curled my lashes and applied mascara. I used both the Jordana Best Lash Extreme Mascara and the Maybelline the Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara.
XOX ♥ Price: $8 * Buy At: Beauty Brands * Size: 0.14 oz / 4 g The KOCO by Beauty Brands Matte Lipstick in Desert Affair is a medium burnt orange with a matte finish. The KOCO lipsticks come in a rectangular black tube, with a colored end to indicate the product color. No where on the tube is the lipstick's name written, which can be a bit inconvenient. The formula of this lipstick is pretty dry, so I could not wear it on its own, but it wears comfortably on the lips when applied on top of a lip balm. I'm sure that this sort of burnt orange shade is not for everyone, but I quite like all kinds of orange lip colors, so I think it's a nice way to wear orange in a more subtle way. XOX ♥
Price: $6 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 1.24 g The Nyx Prismatic Shadow in Frostbite is a white silver metallic shadow with purple reflex. The Prismatic Shadows come in a classic single shadow pot and have a clear lid. Frostbite has some pretty nice color payoff, and it applies very smoothly and not patchy whatsoever. The shadow has a smooth texture, but does not cause any powder fallout. It is also easy to build up the intensity of the shade. Frostbite looks great layered over bases, and with the purple reflex, you can make the color look quite different depending on the color of the base you put under it. XOX ♥
Price: $6 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 4.5 g The Nyx Matte Lipstick in Temptress is a bright salmon pink with a matte finish. The Nyx Matte Lipsticks come in a matte black tube with a clear part in the middle that allows you to see the product color inside. Temptress has thin and lightly moisturizing formula. The Nyx Matte Lipsticks are some of my favorite matte lip products, and they wear so comfortably on the lips, which is always something I look for in a lip product. Temptress has very good color payoff and gives the lips a quite opaque look. Since this color is on the lighter end of peachy coral shades, it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I quite like lighter, but bright, lip colors like Temptress. XOX ♥
