Price: $10 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.25 oz / 7.2 g The Nyx Love in Paris Eye Shadow Palette in Merci Beaucoup is a 9 shadow palette that consists mainly of warm colors with shimmery being the most common finish. Merci Beaucoup contains a shimmery ivory, shimmery bronze, shimmery beige, matte warm brown, shimmery dark cool brown, shimmery coral, matte cool toned brown, mostly matte white & shimmery burgundy. Unfortunatley, most of the shades in Merci Beaucoup needed to be built up a lot to get a decent color payoff when applied with a brush or with your fingers. The most pigmented shade is the shimmery copper (middle, top row), but none of the other colors have the same pigmentation. I found that these shadows had quite a bit of fall out during application as well, which can get annoying when trying to build up color on the lids. It's not the worst shadow formula and is consistent with most drugstore shadows I have tried, but the pigmentation doesn't compete at all with shadows from Urban Decay or Lorac. An interesting thing I would like to point out is that you get a much more pigmented color when applying the shadows with the little sponge applicator. While the pigmentation is nice, I find it quite difficult to apply shadow with the little applicators. They also applied much better with a synthetic brush, versus one with natural bristles. However, these shadows aren't dry or chalky, they have a rather smooth feel. With a primer the wear of these shadows can be extended all day without creasing. They last okay with out a primer and barely crease, but I suggest using a primer as it also helps intensify the colors. Overall it's an okay palette, and if you are interested I would at least wait on one of Ulta's BOGO 50% off sales. The swatch order is the top row (horizontally faced) left to right, followed by the 2nd and 3rd rows from left to right. XOX ♥
