Price: $5 * Buy At: ColourPop Website * Size: 3.2 The ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Scrooge is a dark, warm berry with a matte finish. Scrooge is a part of ColourPop’s Christmas collection. The ColourPop Ultra Matte Lips come in a clear tube and a typical doe foot applicator. I typically am not a fan of colors like this, but for some reason, I really like how Scrooge looks on me. The formula is thin and very opaque, it needed no building up to get intense coverage on the lips. It can be pretty drying after application, but it feels more comfortable on the lips after a little bit. I honestly don't feel it on my lips throughout the day. Scrooge does have very good lasting power, but since it's a darker shade, I would keep it on you in case you need to touch up during the day. XOX ♥

Price: $6.99 * Buy At: Target * Size: 0.26 fl oz The Maybelline Nude Flush Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Color is a classic neutral pink with a demi matte finish. The Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Colors come in a clear rectangular tube with a flat sponge applicator. As apparent in the swatches, this product is not opaque, which surprised me considering this is supposed to be a matte liquid lipstick. On the lips, the product has a bit of a tingly feel, which I'm not crazy about, but I know some people do like it. The lip color never sets on the lips--another thing I was not expecting. It is never fully matte, and is definitely not transfer-proof. The color leaves behind a bit of a stain, but other than that, the Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Colors do not perform like most matte liquid lipsticks. The product is not bad, but it's more like a pigmented gloss than a liquid lipstick. XOX ♥
Price: $6 * Buy At: ColourPop Website * Size: 3.2 g The ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Platform is a medium warm tan nude with a matte finish. Platform is a part of ColourPop’s Christmas collection. The ColourPop Ultra Matte Lips come in a clear tube and a classic doe foot applicator. Platform looks really light and peachy when first applying it, but it gets noticeably darker and more muted as it dries. I really like how the end color looks on me, it’s nude, but not too light where it washes me out. Platform has very opaque coverage and a thin formula, making it super easy to apply. It does have a dry feeling on the lips since it is matte, but it feels pretty thin on the lips, so it is not bad. XOX ♥
Price: $16 * Buy At: Sephora * Size: 4 mL The Sephora Luster Matte Long-Wear Lip Color in Russet Luster is a bright red orange with a demi matte finish. The Sephora Long-Wear Lip Colors have a long flat applicator, different than the typical doe foot. Russet has very opaque color payoff; it does not need any building up during application. The formula is rather thin, and it effortlessly glides onto the lips. The product never fully dries on the lips, like a matte liquid lipstick, although it does stay feeling hydrating. Since it doesn't dry down, it's not quite the long wearing lip color that it claims to be, as it can easily transfer. I still enjoy this lip color, it's pigmented and easy to apply, but if transferring is a problem for you, this might not be the best lip color for you. XOX ♥
Price: $6 * Buy At: ColourPop Website * Size: The ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Tulle is a muted burgundy with a matte finish. The Ultra Matte line comes with a typical doe foot applicator, making application quick and easy. The product applies quite smoothly to the lips and Tulle's formula is very opaque. The lipstick dries quickly, leaving the lips with a very matte look. Tulle feels rather thin on the lips, but unfortunately drying. To me, the product feels almost like a dry film on the lips. However, you don't particularly notice it unless you press your lips together. Tulle stays on the lips pretty well and does not smudge or move around, but some of the color will come off if you are drinking something. The only thing I don't like about this liquid lipstick is that if you rub your lips together, the product can sort of flake off and this can be unflattering. So, I would definitely keep the product with you throughout the day for touch ups. XOX ♥
Price: $6 * Buy At: ColourPop Website * Size: 3.2 g The ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Trap is a matte grey toned mauve. The Ultra Matte line comes with a classic doe foot applicator, making application quick and easy. The product applies very smoothly to the lips and Trap is quite opaque. The lipstick dries quickly, leaving the lips with a very matte look. On the lips, Trap feels rather thin, but unfortunately drying. To me, the product feels like a dry film on the lips. However, you don't particularly notice it unless you press your lips together. Trap stays on the lips pretty well and does not smudge or move, but some of the color will come off if you are drinking something. The only thing I don't like about this liquid lipstick is that if you rub your lips together, the product sort of flakes off and it is rather unflattering. Price: $6.99 * Buy At: Walgreens * Size: 0.24 fl oz / 7 mL The RImmel Provocalips 16 HR Kiss Proof Lip Colour in Play With Fire is a classic cool toned red liquid lipstick. The Provocolips 16 HR Kiss Proof Lip Colour is a two step lip product. It comes in a thin tube with an opaque matte lip cream on one end and a gloss that locks in the color on the other. The Step 1 side applies very opaque and evenly to the lips. It dries to a matte finish pretty quickly and feels pretty sticky once it has dried. Because the product is so opaque, it can take a bit of time to make sure that the application looks good, but it is worth it to me. The Step 2 side is more like a gel than a gloss, since it has a pretty thick formula. I had to dip the wand back into the product three times to fully cover my lips. When worn together, it gives a balmy shine and it feels quite nice on the lips. It doesn't feel thick on the lips and the gloss is not sticky at all. After about an hour, the glossy shine is gone, but what is left behind is an intense lip stain that will not go away. I wore this product for eight hours before I noticed any type of fading, and I had to use makeup remover to get it off my lips. The color does not budge at all and lasts amazingly well through drinking and eating. I am extremely impressed by the longevity of this product and would suggest it to anyone, especially in darker or brighter shades like Play With Fire. XOX ♥
Price: $6 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.27 fl oz The Nyx Intense Butter Gloss in Tres Leches is a medium neutral pink with a cream finish. The Intense Butter Glosses come in a package very similar to the original Butter Glosses. They have a flat sponge applicator, different than the doe foot applicator of the regular Butter Glosses. I find the wand to be a bit flimsy, which makes application a bit trickier. Although these are still called glosses, they are basically a liquid lipstick and they are quite similar to the Nyx Xtreme Lip Creams that have been out for a while now. Tres Leches is very pigmented, so it takes a bit more time to apply. It has a smooth formula, but it doesn't quite glide onto the lips, which adds on to the application time. Being a gloss, Tres Leches has a glossy finish, but it isn't as glossy as the original Butter Glosses. XOX ♥
Price: $4.99 * Buy At: Walgreens * Size: 5 mL The Rimmel Show Off Matte Lip Lacquer in Apollo is a light peachy nude with a matte finish. The Show Off Matte Lip Lacquers come in the same packaging as the original Show Off Lip Lacquers, but they are made of a matte plastic. Not only is the package sealed with a sticker, you can also tell if someone had tested it out by if the center plastic is clear or filled with product, as I displayed in one of the photos. They have a long doe foot applicator with a little divot in the center that allows it to hold more product. Apollo is very opaque and applies very smoothly to the lips. It has a similar texture to the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams, but the formula is even thinner. This color is a bit unforgiving, and while it applies smoothly, it tends to set a bit patchy. I have also found that it takes a while for the product to dry, unlike most matte lip products I have used. It doesn't completely dry down for about an hour, but after that I didn't experience any issues with Apollo moving around. XOX ♥
