Price: $17 * Buy At: Sephora * Size: 0.5 fl oz The Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Speckle is a pastel lilac creme with medium and small black hexes. This, and the other speckled effect nail polishes are from the Illamasqua I'mperfection collection. Speckle has a quite thin formula, which allows the black hexes to show through multiple layers. Despite the thinness, the pastel purple color built up nicely with the 3 coats in the swatches. The black hexes stay flat to the nail and don't make the finished nails feel bumpy. Speckle applied really nicely and also had a great wear. XOX ♥
Product Information Size: 0.5 Fl oz / 15 mL Price: $5 Buy At: Urban Outfitters The Urban Outfitters polishes come in a short, fat square bottle. Very different from any other polish in my collection. I'm not a huge fan of it though, because it doesn't fit on my nail polish display. The Urban Outfitters polishes also have a normal brush. Bohemian Summer from Urban Outfitters is a sheer light blue polish with loads of medium and small black specks. These specks look navy with the sheer blue over it. This polish is very similar to Fragile from Illamasqua. I don't own Fragile, but I believe that Bohemian Summer bit brighter and more aqua than Fragile. Even with that, they look extremely similar. The Illamasqua polish is $17 (Sephora) and can be found here: http://www.illamasqua.com/shop/products/nails/nail-varnish-in-fragile The formula of this polish is great. It evenly coats the nail with the little "specks". The sheer blue also builds up easily to a gorgeous bright slightly aqua base. All the swatches on this post are one thin coat of NYC Long Wearing Nail Enamel in Cashmere Cream (to give a pale blue base) and two coats of Urban Outfitters Nail Lacquer in Bohemian Summer.
XOX ♥ While looking for speckled nail polishes, I came across the polish "Mermaid's Dream" from Deborah Lippman. I instantly noticed that it looked EXACTLY the same as my last Nails of the Day post that featured "Light Mint" from Love, Charlotte XO. Not only do they look the 100% the same in the bottle, they look 100% the same on the nails! In addition, the Deborah Lippman polish is $19, and its dupe is only $3.50! You can purchase this dupe at charlotterusse.com or at any Charlotte Russe stores.
