Price: $4.79 * Buy At: Target * Size: 0.45 fl oz / 13.3 mL The Sally Hansen Diamond is a red-violet glitter polish in a semi-sheer red-violet base. Wedding Crasher applied the glitter very evenly and I didn't find any "bald" spots on my nails. I also like how when dry, it doesn't have a bumpy or gritty feel, as many glitters do. Wedding Crasher feels very smooth. XOX ♥

Price: $2.49 * Buy At: Target * Size: 0.4 fl oz / 11.8 mL Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear has been my favorite nail polish brand for a really long time! When I saw that they had a new line at Target, I got so excited that the people around me probably thought I was a freak. Anyway, Sally Hansen has come out with a new line of 10 colors for Summer 2013 and I picked up 5. The ones I didn't pick up were Lemon Zest (a shimmery mustard yellow), Blueberry Blast (a shimmery dark blue), Razz-berry (a mid tone pink creme), Ice Pop (a silver glitter top coat) & Pink-Grape Fruit (a purple and pink glitter top coat). Peach BeachPeach Beach is a medium peachy coral pink creme. I found that Peach Beach was the most streaky on me out of the 5 I bought. It was also a little more sheer and required 3 coats on some nails, unlike the others. If you are wondering about how it compares to the permanent shade Coral Reef, Coral Reef is darker than Peach Beach and a little more red. Pinch of PunchPinch of Punch is a pink-leaning purple creme. This kind of purple (and pastel purples) are the only kinds I will wear, so I'm glad Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear now has one! Pinch of Punch was pretty opaque and only needed 2 coats. I found that Pinch of Punch was really glossy looking, the most glossy out of the 5 for some reason (I didn't use a top coat). Berry JuicyBerry Juicy is a clean, bright pastel pink creme. This one is my favorite from the collection & I couldn't stop looking at my nails when it was on! Unlike a lot of pale pink polishes, this one was very opaque and bright and only required 2 coats to even the color out. Kiwi BikiniKiwi Bikini is a darker green teal creme. The formula of Kiwi Bikini was the thinnest to me, but it was still pretty opaque with 2 coats. Perfect Pear-ingPerfect Pear-ing is a light green creme that isn't mint and isn't lime. This polish was quite sheer when applied in thin coats, but was really opaque (and looked brighter) when applied with thick coats. The closest color I have to Perfect Pear-ing is Essie's First Timer, which is more blue. Berry Juicy & Perfect Pear-ing were my favorites from the 5 that I picked up, but these 5 are my favorite of the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Summer 2013 line. All of these polishes lasted a few days before chipping without a top coat.
XOX ♥ Price: $3.98 * Buy At: Walmart * Size: 15 mL / 0.5 fl. oz Salon Perfect's Kaboom is from their new Neon Collisions collection. This is a really unique collection of matte glitters. Like I said, I have the shade Kaboom to share with you. It's a mix of teal & yellow-green matte glitter. I really like this color combo and it was really easy to apply. I found that the brush applied the "dots" really evenly! Above I painted 2 coats of Salon Perfect Kaboom over 3 different polishes. On my ring finger is Revlon Eclectic, my middle finger is Essie First Timer, my ring finger has nothing other than Kaboom & my pinky finger is Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Parrot.
XOX ♥ Price: Around $7 * Buy At: Target * Size: 0.5 fl oz / 15 mL Look At Me, Look At Me by Nicole by OPI is a gorgeous purple-silver glitter with light blue & hot pink glitter mixed in. I really liked how this applied. It is very even and can be almost opaque in one coat. This polish also dried super fast! Look At Me, Look At Me is one of those colors that looks quite different in different lighting. In natural light it looks much lighter and in indoor lighting it looks much more purple. Happy 4th of July! For my mani, I used 3 designs from my "20 4th of July Nail Designs" post. For my pinkie nails I painted half of my nail red and half navy. I then used a white striper to divide the colors. Lastly I used a white glitter topcoat over the navy. For my ring fingers, I used a white base with red stripes to create an American flag. Then I used the navy in the corner and used a dotting tool with white polish to make the stars on the navy. For the middle fingers and thumb, I started with a navy base. I then used the glitte top coat to make a glitter gradient. This is optional, but I added 2 star rhinestones in the glitter gradient. Lastly, I painted my index fingers a plain red. Polishes used: Navy - Maybelline Color Show Navy Narcissist. Red - Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Red Carpet. White - Maybelline Color Show Porcelain Party. Glitter - Pure Ice Don't You Wish & Wet n Wild Kaleidoscope. White & Red Stripes - LA Colors Art Deco in White and Red. XOX ❤ |
