Today I have a spin on the classic half moon manicure that is actually much easier to do than it looks! Start off by painting all your nails with one color, I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Breezy Blue. For the half moon, I suggest using a glittery polish, I used Nails Inc Chelsea Enbankment, but you could choose whatever polish you want. The edges of the half moon don't have to be perfect, which makes this manicure simple. Use hexes from a glitter polish, I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Carnival, and a dotting tool to outline the half moon. I also chose another color of hexes and added another outline, but not as dense as the first one. To give the other nails a bit of design, Use the half moon color to make a dot towards the cuticle (I used a hex from Sephora OPI Only Gold For Me) and a hex that you used in the design right above. Be sure to seal in the design with a top coat as well!

The Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color in Snappy Sorbet is a bright orange coral with a creme finish. The Insta-Dri polishes have a wide brush which I don't find makes application easier, but it doesn't make it more difficult either. Snappy Sorbet did live up to its name and had a fairly fast dry time. Snappy Sorbet has a very nice, thin formula and is opaque in two coats.

The Orly Nail Lacquer in Royal Navy is a dark cobalt blue shimmer. Royal Navy has a great thin polish that gives the nails a very smooth appearance and is almost impossible to make apply streaky. Depending on how thick your coats are, Royal Navy is opaque with two or three coats.

Essie Naughty Nautical is a green teal with shimmer. The shimmer isn't super noticeable on the nails, however. It's formula is not too thick or too thin and applies very evenly to the nails. One coat wasn't quite opaque, so I used two for the swatch pictures.

The Orly Nail Lacquer in Artificial Sweetener is a neutral pink with subtle golden shimmer. The formula is a bit thick, but it's not goopy whatsoever and is very easy to apply. It gives a very smooth appearance to the nails, which I love in a nail polish. I used two coats of Article Sweetener in the swatch pictures.

OPI Alpine Snow is a true white creme. It has by far the best formula of any white polish I have ever used and I love it! The polish is not thick or goopy whatsoever and applies just as nicely as any other color would. As a base for another color, you could probably just use one coat, but on it's own I suggest two coats, which it what I used in the photos.
