Price: $8 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 15 mL / 0.5 fl oz Zoya Dream is a royal blue jelly polish packed with holographic glitter. The jelly formula of Dream allows the glitter to all show through, making this polish look stunning. Many other reviews I've seen make Dream to appear as a duller blue, but on me, Dream is a true royal blue. The formula of Dream was...a dream! It applied so smooth and evenly and even dried quite quickly. Once dried, Dream had a very smooth feel, like a creme polish, not gritty like many polishes that contain glitter. I used two coats of Dream for the swatch pictures. Unfortunately, my camera just couldn't handle all the glitter in the polish, so it is a bit blurry. XOX ♥
Price: $3.99 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.23 fl oz / 7 ml The Maybelline Colorshow Street Art Nail Polish in Blue Beats is a clear polish filled with light blue and black large hexes, small hexes and confetti pieces. The Maybelline Colorshow Street Art line immediately reminded me of the Xplosives Top Coats from the Formula X for Sephora line. I really wanted polishes from this line, but didn't want to pay $12.50, so I was so excited to see the Street Art line from Maybelline. Blue Beats looks very similar to Turbulent from the Sephora line. Blue Beats applied very nicely and didn't need to be built up to get an even coating of hexes on the nails. It also doesn't leave the nails feeling gritty or bumpy. I used 2 coats of Blue Beats on all my nails, on bare nails (middle and pinky) and over a white polish (index and ring). XOX ♥
Price: $3.99 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.23 fl oz / 7 ml The Maybelline Color Show Street Art Nail Polish in Nighttime Noise is a clear polish filled with a mix of royal blue large hexes & confetti pieces and black large and small hexes. Nighttime Noise didn't need to be built up very much and applied quite evenly, not leaving any bare spots on my nails. While the hexes do feel a little bumpy on the nails, Nighttime Noise doesn't make the nails feel textured or gritty. Two coats of Nighttime Noise are shown in the pictures, on bare nails on my middle & pinky fingers and over a white polish on my index and ring fingers. XOX ♥
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Swatch Spam ♥ Blue Me Away, Pacific Blue, Lacey Lilac & Grey Area12/18/2013
The Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear line of polishes is one of my favorites, and has been for years. The Xtreme Wear line is cheap ($2.49 on Target, and often on sale for 10 to 20 cents off that price), only requires 2 coats (you can get away with one) and easy application. I have reviewed five of these polishes from the Summer 2013 collection (Peach Beach, Perfect Pear-ing, Kiwi Bikini, Berry Juicy & Pinch of Punch). I also have reviewed a permanent shade, White On as well as a newer LE color, Glitter Gun. Here I will have swatches of four shades from the Xtreme Wear permanent line that I bought before my website! Here are the blues & purples that I have; Blue Me Away, Pacific Blue, Lacey Lilac & Grey Area. More SHXM Swatch Spam to come! XOX ♥
Price: $4.99 * Buy At: Target * Size: 0.5 fl oz The Limited Edition Revlon Nail Polish in Elusive is a sheer black base loaded with large and small blue-green glitter. In the swatches I left all the nails with the matte finish, and applied a glossy top coat to my ring finger. As I mentioned, the black base is sheer, which allows more of the gorgeous glitter to show through. The base evened out and was opaque with two coats and quickly dried to the matte finish, I prefer this polish with the matte finish, but you can always add a top coat if matte isn't your thing. XOX ♥
Price: $11 * Buy At: Sephora * Size: 0.33 fl oz The Nails Inc Beaded Polish in Covent Garden is a blue mint polish with various hexes and a gritty, textured finish. As you can probably assume by the texture of this polish, it is not the easiest to cover the sides of your nail. However, this polish was actually much easier to apply than I had anticipated. It didn't clump up and I didn't have to work hard to get Covent Garden to cover the nails. Covent Garden dried quite quickly as well, but I find textured polishes to dry faster than other formulas. This kind of polish formula isn't for everyone, but if you are looking for this kind of finish, I would suggest the Beaded Polish line from Nails Inc! Shown in swatches in two coats of Covent Garden. Price: $5 * Buy At: Sephora * Size: 0.16 oz The Sephora Color Hit Nail Polish in Walk on the Wild Side is a gorgeous blue green foil. These colors always remind me of mermaids for some reason. Despite being a shimmery foil polish, the brush streaks barely show up and the polish dries to a very smooth finish. Application was a dream and the polish dried quite quickly. Two coats were used in the swatches. XOX ♥
Price: $8 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 15 mL / 0.5 fl oz Zoya is a dark navy creme from Zoya's Fall 2013 Cashmere Collection. I really like this color because it isn't too dark, but it's still a navy. Sailor even has the slightest bit of a purple tint on me. The formula of Sailor was very similar to Zoya Hunter. It's thin, but very opaque. Because of this, it's best to apply Sailor with medium to thick coats. Sailor wasn't patchy at all and had a really nice glossiness to it with two coats. XOX ♥
Price: $8 * Size: 0.5 fl oz / 15 mL http://www.zoya.com/content/38/item/Zoya/Gray-Nail-Polish-Cream-Nail-Polish-Kristen-ZP591-Neutral-Nail-Polish.html Zoya Kristen is a blue-grey cream from Zoya's Feel collection from Winter 2011. I'm not sure if you can still find Kristen at Ulta, but you can buy it directly from Zoya. Kristen's formula is on the thin side, but it applied beautifully, opaque with two coats and not patchy at all. (You can see a little unevenness on my index finger, that isn't the polish's fault, my index finger nail is just uneven.) XOX ♥
Price: $3.97 * Buy At: Walmart * Size: 0.5 fl oz / 0.47 mL Revlon's Nail Enamel in Dreamer is a dusty blue-perriwinkle color that reminds me a lot of the very popular Essie Bikini So Teeny. Dreamer is on all the nails in the swatch photos, execpt for the ring finger, which is Essie Bikini So Teeny. Bikini So Teeny is lighter & brighter than Dreamer and also has very subtle shimmer in it, but they are somewhat dupes. Dreamer's formula was very thin, but not too streaky. Like most drugstore polishes, Dreamer began to wear on the tips after a day or two. It's a good polish and color overall, but in my opinion, I like the color of Essie Bikini So Teeny more than Dreamer if you are deciding between the two.
