No, sadly I didn't go to England, but my aunt was in England for a week on business and she was so sweet and got some products from the drugstore that I have been wanting! I also ordered another iDivine palette from Sleek's website & since it's a British brand, I thought I'd include it in the haul. If you want to see my review & swatches of these products, then click on the name of the product, written in purple!
I got 3 nail polishes from Barry M because I've heard a lot of amazing things about them. I got Papaya from the Gelly Hi Shine line, Ridley Road from the Textured line & Bubblegum (CNP4) from the Confetti line.
Next, I got another lipstick from Sleek. I am absolutely in love with the one I already have (Fuchsia) and needed another, I got the shade Liqueur. I also got the Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Paint in the shade Rich Russet. I know RImmel is available in the US, but the Shadow Paints are UK only, as of now. Lastly. my aunt also got me a mascara from Max Factor. I haven't tried Max Factor and am really excited to give the Wild Mega Volume Mascara a try!
Swatches & reviews coming soon!
The August 2013 Ipsy bag has the theme "Glamour Academy" to go along with the back to school season. My bag contained 5 products. The bag was a vibrant purple with gold Glamour Academy emblems.
Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in 69
Full Size: $22 * http://www.urbandecay.com/urban-decay/lipstick%2C-lip-stain-%26-gloss/69/27280.html
I was really excited to see Urban Decay's new lipstick in my Ipsy bag, but it is teeny tiny! The lipstick is about as tall & thin as my pinky finger! I got the shade 69, which is a bright cherry red. Anyway, the formula of the lipstick was extremely opaque, but did pull on my lips when applying. It's actually surprisingly water resistant & when it wears or washes off it creates a really nice red-pink stain! So, I think the formula of the lipstick is nice, but I would have liked a different color, as I never wear red lipstick.
Nailtini Nail Polish in Mai Tai
$13 * 0.05 fl oz / 15 mL http://www.tinibeauty.com/products/straight_up_color_mai_tai.cfm
Next was a full sized nail polish from Nailtini. Mai Tai is described as a "vibrant sunrise coral", but to me it's just straight up orange. This really disappointed me, because orange is my least favorite color. But, I can always use this if I need orange for nail art and I can use it around Halloween. The formula of Mai Tai was pretty nice, though. It is very opaque and dries quickly, but a little bit streaky.
Shown below is Mai Tai only on my ring finger, I will post swatches of Mai Tai on all my nails soon!
Michael Todd Pumpkin Nutrient-Rich Facial Mask
Full Size: 100 mL * $34
A lot of YouTubers use products from Micheal Todd, so I'm excited to test this out and see if the brand is as great as they make it seem. I got the Pumpkin Nutrient-Rich Facial Mask. I probably won't review this product because I'm not super into or knowledgeable about skincare and I most likely will not notice a difference with my skin to talk about in a review. But, so far I do like that it smells like pumpkin!
Pixi Lash Boosting Mascara
Full Size: $17 * http://www.pixibeauty.com/makeup/eyes/lash-booster-mascara-1793
I'm interested to see how I like this mascara because I've never really looked at the Pixi brand at Target. I never hear anyone talking about it and it's on the expensive side for drugstore. This mascara provides a light, natural look. It's lengthening, but not thickening what so ever.
Mica Beauty Eye Shadow
The Mica Beauty Eye Shadow in Bronze is a loose, shimmery light bronze. It provides a more subtle wash of color, so I will use it as a lid color or over a brown shadow to add shimmer. I like this product as a first impression, but I am not the biggest fan of loose shadows.
