These are the products that I have really loved this year and have wanted to put in monthly favorites posts multiple times. I love a lot more products, and it was hard to choose, but not everything can be in my favorites! I hope you had a great year and happy 2014! Face ProductsNyx Rouge Cream Blush (Natural shown) - These cream blushes are just beautiful. They are extremely pigmented but still easy to blend. I got a lot of use out of these during the summer months. Nyx Powder Blush (Peach shown) - I have many shades of the Nyx powder blush and they are just my favorite blushes. They have nice pigmentation, blend nicely and are not chalky. Plus, they are inexpensive. I chose the shade Peach for the photo because it was the first one I bought and as you can tell by the lack of a label, I have used it a lot. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - I have used this powder for years and it is one of the best powders at the drugstore. It does a nice job mattifying the skin (I prefer matte over dewy skin) and sets concealer or foundation. Unfortunately, mine shattered a few days before taking pictures so mine is just an empty package. Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Amused - After trying four minis of this blush at the end of 2012, I decided to bite the bullet and buy a full sized version. This blush is super pigmented and lasts longer than any other blush I own. NYC Sunny Bronzer - This bronzer is very popular among the beauty community because its pigmented, matte and very inexpensive. I used this to contour and also to darken my face when I used a foundation that was too light. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 115 - This is an all around great concealer. You can use it for redness, blemishes and under eyes and it does not look cakey. MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW20 - This concealer has great coverage and blends out very easily. This concealer was a definite must have for me when I have some noticeable blemishes. Eye ProductsUD Naked Palette - Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadows (Not Just Nudes shown) - L'Oreal Infallible Shadows (Iced Latte shown) - These shiny, metallic shadows make for a great pop of color on the lids. I have two shades; Iced Latte and Amber Rush. Inglot Shadows - UD Naked 2 Palette - I have been using this palette for almost two years and won't get tired of it. The cool toned browns work nicely on my cool toned skin. The shadows have great pigmentation and blend beautifully. Sephora Brow Editor in Honey Brown - I used this more the first half of 2013, but it was a favorite product of mine and deserved to make the year's favorites. This brow kit contains two blonde powders & a wax. Maybelline Color Tattoos (Bold Gold shown) - After not having a great experience with the first Color Tattoo I tried, I finally gave them a shot again and have loved using them this year. They are very pigmentated and super easy to apply. I have the shades Bold Gold, Pomegranate Punk, Inked in Pink, Tough As Taupe & Barely Branded. Nyx Nude Matte Shadow in Craving - Matte grey shadows are hard to find in the drugstore and the Nude Matte Shadow in Craving from Nyx is the perfect one. It has a soft texture and nice pigmentation and can work well on the lid or in the crease. Essence Super Fine Liner - I was obsessed with pen style liners this year and this one from Essence was my favorite. It's inexpensive, applies smooth and evenly and gives you control of the line's thickness. NYC Liquid Liner - In addition to pen liner, liquid liner is a staple in my daily makeup routine. This liner is very black and applies smoothly. I finished up this liner towards the end of 2013. Wet N Wild Mega Volume Mascara - Wet N Wild is typically not known for their mascaras, but I think everyone should try this mascara. While it does not really build up thickness in the lashes, but it separates and lengthens. I really liked using this with the L'Oreal Voluminous mascara. Benefit They're Real Mascara - The hype over this mascara is real. It can create crazy lashes, adding thickness, length and fullness. Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter Pencil - I got this product in an Ipsy bag and am so happy that I got to get this product! This peachy highlight is great in the inner corner or waterline and can even be used as an undereye concealer. L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara - I really enjoyed this mascara this year because it added nice thickness and fullness to the lashes. I will be repurchasing this mascara in the future. Elf Wet Gloss Brow & Lash Mascara - Why spend a lot on clear brow gel, when you can get this one for $1? This double ended clear "mascara" works great on keeping the brows in place without them being crunchy. Sephora Jumbo Liners (Glitter Pink shown) - I could not get enough of these cream shadow sticks this year. They are creamy, pigmented and do not budge once they set. I currently have seven shades. Sephora Colorproof Liquid Liner in Matte Brown - This liner is just perfect. It applies smoothly and evenly and the applicator is just right. The matte brown shade is pretty dark, but slightly less harsh than black. Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk - This matte white cream shadow makes a great base for all eye looks, neutral or colorful. It really makes colors pop and is also nice in the waterline or inner corner for a highlight. Rimmel Scandaleyes Liner in Black - This smooth, jet black pencil liner was a must have of mine this year. I use this quite often to darken the waterline or tightline. Avon Luxury Brow Liner in Blonde - I don't fill in my brows a lot because I think I look weird with filled in brows, but I do lightly fill them in with this pencil. I like this brow pencil because it is the right color for my dark blonde hair. Sleek iDivine Palettes (i-candy shown) - I have three i-Divine palettes from Sleek and they are great for makeup collectors or beginners. They come in the most beautiful shades, have a soft formula and very nice pigmentation. Maybelline One by One Mascara (not shown) - I used this mascara up some time during the middle of this year, so it could not be here in the photo. This is one of my all time favorite mascaras and I will be repurchasing once I use up some other mascaras. It really separates the lashes while adding a nice amount of thickness. Lip ProductsRevlon Matte Balms (Mischievous shown) - I thought that the matte finish would make these uncomfortable, but I was so wrong. The Revlon Matte balms have one of the best matte formulas out there, feeling quite thin and very moisturizing. As of now I have two shades; Mischievous & Sultry. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains (Cherish shown) - I also really loved the original line of Balm Stains from Revlon this year, I have the shades Cherish and Honey. Jordana Twist & Shine Balm Stains (Candied Coral shown) - Just one more balm stain! The Jordana Twist & Shine Balm Stains have a very similar feel to the Revlon ones and are cheaper! I have the shades Candied Coral, Tropical Frenzy & Cranberry Crush) Baby Lips Electro (Pink Shock shown) - I love the Baby Lips line and I was so excited when I heard about the Electro line. I bought four of the shades and loved them; Pink Shock, Strike A Rose, Oh! Orange & Berry Bomb. Baby Lips Dr Rescue (Pink Me Up shown) - Another line of Baby Lips in 2013 was the medicated Dr Rescue line. Of course I had to get these! I picked up four shades; Pink Me Up, Just Peachy, Soothing Sorbet & Berry Soft) Baby Lips (Pink Punch Shown) - I have to shout out the original Baby Lips as well. Pink Punch was the first shade I got and I have loved every other type of Baby Lips they have come out with. Maybelline Color Whispers (Pink Possibilities shown) - The Color Whispers became a lip product obsession for me this year. They are light and moisturizing and pack a nice punch of semi sheer color. Fresh Sugar Rose Lip Treatment -The Fresh Lip Treatments are the most creamy, moisturizing lip products I have ever tried. I just have the deluxe size, but I got six more deluxe sized products for Christmas. MAC Gotta Dash! Sheen Supreme Lipstick - I got my first MAC product and first (of course) MAC lipstick this year. My first lipstick was a Sheen Supreme in the shade Gotta Dash! It is a beautiful light peach with a nice shine. They are super moisturizing and smell amazing. Nyx Butter Glosses (Creme Brulee shown) - Yep. I was definitley obsessed with the Nyx Butter Glosses this year. I bought all of the colors and this is pretty much the only gloss I will use. They are moisturizing, glossy, nicely pigmented and comfortable on the lips. Nyx Extra Creamy Round Lipstick in Pure Nude - I have a lot of Nyx Round lipsticks because they are opaque and moisturizing. The shade I used the most is Pure Nude. It is a peachy nude color that works great with more dramatic eye looks but doesn't wash me out. EOS Blueberry Acai Lip Balm (and all EOS lip balms) - Honestly, I use lip balms more often than other lip products and EOS is one of my favorites. I have a bunch of different flavors, but Blueberry Acai is my favorite. Makeup BrushesCoastal Scents Angled Liner Brush - I like to use a black (or dark color) shadow as a liner or to set my liner and this is my go to brush. It is not flimsy and is thin which allows me to make a precise line. Coastal Scents Brow Brush - I am not sure why this is called a brow brush, I would call it a short shader brush. I used this brush a lot in 2013 to apply shadow on the lower lashline. Coastal Scents Shader Brush - I used this brush all the time this year, almost on a daily basis. This brush is great for packing on lid color. Sigma E47 - I loved this brush for the second half of the year for giving a more defined crease while blending at the same time. Sigma E40 - I also liked the E40 brush for the crease. This brush blends out the crease color to give a softer diffused look. Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush - Real Techniques is my favorite brand, which could be another favorite of the year. While this brush is supposed to be used for base shadow, I really liked using it for crease color. Real Techniques Expert Face Brush - This brush is perfect and I can not live without it. It applies and blends foundation, blends concealer, blends cream blush and can apply heavier amounts of powder or powder blush. Real Techniques Powder Brush - First off, this brush is extremely soft. It is also a fairly large powder brush which allows you to quickly apply powder all over to mattify or set foundation. NailsZoya Hunter - I fell in love with Zoya polishes this year and bought quite a few shades. One of my favorites is Hunter, a dark green creme. Zoya Kristen - Here is a gorgeous pale blue shade from Zoya, Kristen. Unlike many pale polishes, this one was easily opaque and not at all streaky. Zoya Sailor - The last Zoya favorite is Sailor, a navy creme. I got into darker nail colors this year and really loved the formula of this polish. Sally Hansen Insta Dri Cinna Snap - This burgundy polish got quite a bit of use this fall and has a really nice formula. Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Polishes (Lacey Lilac shown) - These have been my favorite polishes ever since I started wearing nail polish. They are opaque in one or two coats and very inexpensive. Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue - This is a specific shade of the SHXM line that I wanted to shout out, the gorgeous bright Pacific Blue. This color is just stunning and I wore it quite a bit in 2013. Barry M Polishes (Papaya shown) - I got a chance to try a few Barry M polishes this year and I am in love with them. In addition to the gorgeous soft orange shade Papaya, I tried Ridley Road and Bubblegum. Pure Ice Don't You Wish - I used this small iridescent glitter top coat in a lot of my nail art designs this year and thought it deserved a shout out. Orly Nailtrition - This stuff is magic for weak nails like mine. My nails would bend, peel and break...until this stuff! With continuous use, my nails started to just look better and grow more without breaking. Plus, it adds a subtle gloss to the nails. INM Out The Door Top Coat - Urban Outfitters Bohemian Summer - HairConair You Curl - I really got into clampless curling irons this year, and this is my favorite. It has multiple heat settings and a smaller barrel, but they also make one with a larger barrel if that is what you are looking for. U-Smooth Smoothening Iron - I got this flat iron two years ago (for Christmas) and it is still going strong. This flat iron has customizable heat up to 400 degrees (I like 330 degrees) and works great. Tangle Teezer - I am so glad I found this brush, it is a life saver for tangled hair. I got mine in March and haven't used a normal brush since. It effortlessly detangles hair without ripping out any hair. Organix Coconut Milk Anti Breakage Serum - While it does not claim to make hair grow, I have noticed an increase in the speed that my hair grows while using this! I even stopped using it for a few weeks and realized that it stopped growing so quickly. Herbal Essences Tousling Spray Gel - Finally a product that helps make my hair wavy or curly. My hair is naturally straight and refuses to curl most of the time, and this product helps my hair curl and stay curled. TRESemme Tres Two Hair Spray - This was my go to hairspray for the last half of the year for any hairstyle, wether my hair was straight, wavy, curly and even when it's just up in a ponytail. Suave Dry Shampoo - I got into the dry shampoo trend this year and loved Suave's version. It is one of the most inexpensive dry shampoos on the market, has a nice scent and helps reduce hair grease for second or even third day hair. Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum - I have used this stuff for years. It is a heat protectant, reduces frizz (even for straight hair) and helps hair straighten and stay straight. Plus, it smells amazing. OtherBody Shop Body Butter (Vineyard Peach shown) - I got my first Body Butter years ago and got a few more this year. They are creamy and the moisturization lasts much longer than your average lotion. My favorite was Vineyard Peach because it had a thicker consistency. Nyx Matte Finish Setting Spray - This setting spray helps my makeup last much longer and keep its intensity. Plus, the spray is cooling and refreshing. Kate Somerville EradiKate Acne Treatment- This stuff is magic on acne. It is a little bit pricey, but it you frequently have blemishes, I would try this out. Just one application can drastically reduce the size and redness of acne. Plus, it's pink!
