Price: € 12.80 * Buy At: Zoeva's Website The Zoeva 109 Luxe Face Paint Brush is a flat face brush made with a mix of synthetic and natural bristles. If you are not familiar with it, Zoeva is a German cosmetic company that focuses mainly on makeup brushes. The Face Paint Brush comes in a nice reusable plastic pouch and it includes a brush guard to keep the bristles safe during travel Although the brush is called the "Face Paint" brush, it is designed for contouring the face. The design of the brush reminds me a lot of the very popular Nars ITA brush, which is why I was so interested in it. The brush has a classic black handle and is 14.5 cm long, decently shorter than the average face brush. The bristles pick up product very easily and create a nice defined cheekbone contour. I often like to use this brush for contouring and follow up with a small fluffier brush to blend out the color, but the Face Paint brush can also easily blend the contour powder. The brush isn't too soft, but it still feels nice on the skin. With this brush, you can create a soft and subtle contour, a sharp defined contour, and anything in between. I would suggest this brush mainly for the cheekbones, but I suppose you could also use it for the sides of the nose, but it might be a bit too big. I have not experienced any of the bristles splaying or shedding. XOX ♥

Price: $6 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 2.5 g The Nyx High Voltage Lipstick in Stone is a medium cool toned nude with a balmy finish. The Nyx High Voltage Lipsticks come in a thin tube with a clear lid. The product inside is decently smaller than a typical lipstick, which I find much easier to get a precise application. The formula of Stone is extremely smooth and effortlessly glides onto the lips. Typically really smooth lipsticks feel like they will slide around, but I find Stone to stay on the lips very well. On the lips, it feels like a cross between a moisturizing balm and a lightweight lipstick, making it very comfortable to wear. The pigmentation of Stone isn't too intense, but it is easy to build up to an opaque look. The HIgh Voltage Lipsticks are definitely not long wearing, however. I find that I get only one to two hours of wear with Stone, but since it is so easy to apply, it isn't a big deal to reapply. Taupe toned neutrals are getting pretty popular, and I personally love them on me since I have cool toned skin. XOX ♥
Price: $7 * Buy At: Beauty Brands * Size: 1.8 g / 0.064 g The KOCO by Beauty Brands Eye Shadow in Natural is a yellow toned beige with a matte finish. The KOCO eye shadows come in a thin black compact with a clear lid, Natural has a quite soft formula and despite being a lighter shade, it has very nice color payoff. It is very easy to blend out as well. Natural reminds me a lot of the ever so popular Peach Smoothie from Makeup Geek (which I have also reviewed). It's a pretty light color that doesn't show up too much on the eyes, but really helps to blend out darker colors in the crease or on the lid. I find that Natural works great as a transition color and could be an alternative to Peach Smoothie if peachy shadows aren't your thing. The color would work really nice on more yellow based skin tones, but I still like how it looks on my skin tone, which is rather pink. XOX ♥
Price: $7 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.09 fl oz / 2.8 mL The Nyx The Skinny Mascara is a classic black mascara with a very thin applicator. The package claims that the mascara is "perfected to coat every lash from root to tip! The micro-sized brush is ideal for enhancing the appearance of a fuller lash line." It also claims that is is smudge and flake resistant, reaches the tightest lashes, works great with your favorites mascara and is water resistant. The Skinny Mascara has a very, very thin brush and the bristles do not stick off of the wand very much. With such a small applicator, not a lot of product comes off on the lashes. This does make application take longer, but it also prevents clumps. The mascara gave okay results on the top lashes, but I bought it specifically for the bottom lashes since it has such a small applicator. The mascara doesn't give much thickness to the lashes, but it does separate and lengthen the lashes. I like to use this mascara as a first coat on my bottom lashes and follow up with a more thickening mascara like Jordana Best Lash Extreme. I didn't find the mascara to smudge on my lower lashline or flake off throughout the day. Overall I'm not in love with the product, but I also don't dislike it. I used three coats of The Skinny Mascara on my top and bottom lashes in the photos. XOX ♥
How To | Step by StepI started off this look, as always, by priming my eyes with the Elf Eyelid Primer. For the transition shade in the crease and on the lower lashline, I used Makeup Geek Peach Smoothie. On the lids, I applied the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Fierce & Tangy. In the crease, I used the Zoeva Luxe Defined Crease Brush to apply Fire from the Stila In The Know Palette. I went with a bit more of a dramatic inner corner for this look. With the Sephora Nano Liner in Pure White, I elongated the inner corner highlight in the shape of a V. I went back in with the same orange I used in the crease on a Zoeva Smudge Brush for the lower lashline. Since the shadow in this look doesn't have a ton of depth, I used black liner to add some. I used the Revlon ColorStay Liquid Liner to line my lids and to create a small wing. I ended up applying a bit of warm brown shadow on a detail brush on the outer V of my lids to help the wing blend in. To finish the look, I applied the Jordana Best Lash Mascara and the Maybelline Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara.
XOX ♥ Price: $6 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.27 fl oz The Nyx Intense Butter Gloss in Tres Leches is a medium neutral pink with a cream finish. The Intense Butter Glosses come in a package very similar to the original Butter Glosses. They have a flat sponge applicator, different than the doe foot applicator of the regular Butter Glosses. I find the wand to be a bit flimsy, which makes application a bit trickier. Although these are still called glosses, they are basically a liquid lipstick and they are quite similar to the Nyx Xtreme Lip Creams that have been out for a while now. Tres Leches is very pigmented, so it takes a bit more time to apply. It has a smooth formula, but it doesn't quite glide onto the lips, which adds on to the application time. Being a gloss, Tres Leches has a glossy finish, but it isn't as glossy as the original Butter Glosses. XOX ♥
Price: $15 * Buy At: Sephora * Size: 0.11 oz The Sephora Colorful Blush in Sunbaked is a warm orange coral with a matte finish. The Sephora Colorful Blushes come in a durable feeling black plastic compact with a clear lid. The product on the inside is stamped with Sephora's signature S logo. Sunbaked has a very smooth texture and is slightly powdery, so a lot of product comes off on the brush. It has great color payoff and doesn't need to be built up, but it is also easy to sheer out for a more subtle look. Sunbaked blends out very easy and effortlessly on the skin. I would suggest this color for fair to medium-dark skin tones. It could work on dark skin tones, as long as you build it up. XOX ♥
Price: €12.80 * Buy At: Zoeva's Website The Zoeva 105 Luxe Highlight Brush is a small tapered face brush made of both synthetic and natural bristles. The bristles on this brush are pretty dense, which works great for a more intense highlight, as well as with less pigmented highlighters. It could maybe be used for contouring in a pinch, but I find it to work the best with powder highlights on the tops of the cheekbones. The bristles aren't super soft, but they don't irritate the skin whatsoever. I haven't had any issues with any of the bristles shedding or splaying so far, and I don't think that I will. The size and shape of the brush works great on my face, and I think it would work great for most people. The handle is an average face brush size and the name of the brush is written on the handle, along with Zoeva's logo. The brush comes in a nice reusable plastic bag, which I think is a nice little touch. XOX ♥
Price: $6 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.27 fl oz The Nyx Intense Butter Gloss in Spice Cake is a dark warm berry with a glossy finish. The Intense Butter Glosses come in a package similar to the original Butter Glosses. They have a flat sponge applicator, different than the doe foot applicator of the regular Butter Glosses. I think the wand is a bit flimsy, which makes application a bit trickier. In my opinion, liquid lipstick-like products are harder to get a clean line with, so I would suggest applying a lip liner under Spice Cake. Although these are still called glosses, they are basically a liquid lipstick and they are quite similar in formula to the Nyx Xtreme Lip Creams that have been out for a while now. Spice Cake is very pigmented, so it takes a little more time to apply to make sure that it looks good on the lips. Spice Cake has a glossy finish, but it's not quite as glossy as the regular line of Butter Glosses. XOX ♥
Price: $4.99 * Buy At: Walgreens * Size: 5 mL The Rimmel Show Off Matte Lip Lacquer in Apollo is a light peachy nude with a matte finish. The Show Off Matte Lip Lacquers come in the same packaging as the original Show Off Lip Lacquers, but they are made of a matte plastic. Not only is the package sealed with a sticker, you can also tell if someone had tested it out by if the center plastic is clear or filled with product, as I displayed in one of the photos. They have a long doe foot applicator with a little divot in the center that allows it to hold more product. Apollo is very opaque and applies very smoothly to the lips. It has a similar texture to the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams, but the formula is even thinner. This color is a bit unforgiving, and while it applies smoothly, it tends to set a bit patchy. I have also found that it takes a while for the product to dry, unlike most matte lip products I have used. It doesn't completely dry down for about an hour, but after that I didn't experience any issues with Apollo moving around. XOX ♥
