Technically VolleySparkle was born on November 1st 2012 when I started a BlogSpot blog, but I moved on to a Weebly site January of 2013, making this my one year blogiversary! I will admit that much of my first posts were quite random and lacked quality, but VolleySparkle has really grown in quality with the types of posts (mainly reviews) and photos, especially considering my photos at the beginning were taken by my iPhone. My first post on this website was January 12th and it was my earring collection, which I believe was and still is my only jewelry post as I tend to stick with makeup and nail posts. I started the Makeup & Nails section on January 22nd, both with a somewhat ridiculous Makeup & Nail Polish wishlist.
As I said, VolleySparkle is mainly makeup and nail polish reviews, I have expanded to makeup looks and nail art, which there will be much more on the way this year! I will continue with hauls and hopefully will have some reviews on hair products and skin/body products.
I started this website because I love makeup, nails and all things beauty for my enjoyment and hopefully for anyone who wanted to see it. I try to create quality reviews and photos that can help people like me who like to do a little research before buying a product. I started off with a few website views everyday from who knows where and one year later have been averaging above two hundred views a day, which may not sound like a lot to most people, but means so much to me that there are people out there that care to read my site whether its daily or every once and a while. So anyone out there reading this, I really wanted to say thank you for checking out my website and reading my posts. I also want to thank my Pinterest followers if any of them are reading this.
To wrap up, my first blogging year has gone great and I really appriciate the people who have checked out my website. For the next year of VolleySparkle, you can expect tons more reviews, makeup looks, nail art, hauls and more! Thank you!
(P.S. If you are wondering where the name VolleySparkle came from, it was first my xbox account name and then became my website name. It stands for the two things that define my life the most, Volleyball and all things beauty (sparkle). I've played volleyball half my life and play club volleyball.)
