Price: $27 * Buy At: Sephora * Size: 6 x 0.05 oz The Naked Basics palette is Urban Decay's third installment of the Naked palette line. This palette features 6 full sized eye shadows, 5 of which are matte, and a large mirror. The Naked Basics palette has 6 everyday neutral colors; Venus, Foxy, W.O.S. (Walk of Shame), Naked 2, Faint & Crave. Venus is a light shimmery champagne, Foxy is a matte ivory, W.O.S. is a matte pink ivory, Naked 2 is a matte taupe, Faint is a matte medium brown & Crave is a matte black. The texture of these shadows is very smooth and soft. I want to say that they are even softer than the shadows in the Naked & Naked 2 palette. They are all super pigmented and blend out nicely. I don't experience fall out and they last well on their own with no primer. Comparisons with Naked & Naked 2The Naked Basics palette is quite a bit smaller and thinner than the Naked or Naked 2 palette. The Naked Basics has a similar look to Naked 2 with the taupe packaging with dark brown writing. However, Naked 2 has more of a metal feel, while Naked Basics is rubberized like Nars packaging. In the comparison swatches, Naked Basics colors are labeled with yellow, Naked 2 colors are labeled with white & Naked colors are labeled with green. Venus from Naked Basics is quite similar to Virgin from Naked 2, while WOS is quite similar to Bootycall. Foxy is a repeat from Naked 2, so of course those shades are the same. Sin from Naked is somewhat related to the light shades, but there isn't a shadow from the Basics palette that is a close dupe. All of the Naked palettes have a nice light brown that makes a great blending color. Naked 2 is similar to Tease from Naked 2 as well as Naked from Naked, Naked being a little darker and slightly more purple toned. Buck from Naked is much more of a warm brown. Faint is a unique color for the Naked line as Naked & Naked 2 don't have a matte brown. Snakebite from Naked 2 and Darkhorse from Naked are similar in color, but they are shimmery. Lastly, Crave is almost exactly the same as Blackout from Naked 2, because they are both intense matte blacks. If anything, I'd say Crave is more warm-toned than Blackout.
