Price: $4.99 * Buy At: Walgreens * Size: 0.21 oz / 6 g The Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick in Nudie Patootie is a light nude with a cool undertone. The Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks come in a clear tube and have a spongy applicator. The applicator has a divot in the middle, it is interesting and I haven’t seen another liquid lipstick with a similar applicator. I actually really like it however, it prevents too much product building up along the lip line. The product is thin and glides on easily to the lips. It is easy to get the color completely opaque on the lips and it dries down quickly. Naturally, being a matte liquid lipstick, the Liquid Catsuit formula is drying on the lips, but it is not as drying as the ColourPop Ultra Matte Lips. I really love the color of Nudie Patootie, it is my kind of nude. I think the formula is great, and with a $5 price tag, how can you go wrong? XOX ♥

Price: $49 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 8 x 0.02 oz The Urban Decay Moondust Palette The Urban Decay Moondust Palette has gorgeous silver shimmery packaging, with Moondust engraved. The shimmer isn't rough--it feels just like any other plastic palette. I was very hesitant to buy this palette because each shade is less than half the size of a regular eyeshadow, and the $50 is comparably high for an eight shadow palette. However, I kept swatching the shades everytime I saw the palette in store, so I finally caved. I figured I wouldn't use the palette all that often, but I have been finding myself going back to this palette day after day, to add a pop of color in an eye look or simply as an all-over lid shade. The Moondust shadows have a very unique finish. They are shimmery shades, but not in a metallic way. The best way I can describe how they look is wet. The shadows have a dry texture, so I pretty much always apply them with my finger. The pigmentation is great, and uniform across the eight colors. I can also say that the shadows in this palette are consistent with the Moondust single shadows from Urban Decay. I got hooked on the formula with Midnight Cowboy, and now my love continues. Although I think the price should be cut by at least $10, I do really love this palette and honestly would probably purchase the sequel if Urban Decay released one. XOX ♥
Price: $28 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 4g The Lorac Pro Matte Palette is an eight pan palette of--you guessed it--all matte eyeshadows. The Pro Matte Palette has the same thin, black, rubberized packaging as the rest of the Pro line. The palette is good for travel since it is so thin, and since it is made of all matte shadows, it could check a lot of boxes when picking out your travel makeup. You could stick to the left side of the palette for a soft, everyday look, or add in the other side to add depth, dimension or smokiness. Just like the other Pro palettes, the shadows in the Pro Matte palette are very soft and creamy and have intense color payoff. Since the formula is so soft, the shadows are prone to some excess powder kick-up or maybe even a bit of fallout, but they are still super easy to work with. XOX ♥
I created this eye look using just the Kat Von D MetalMatte Palette. You can find my review and swatches of the palette HERE. Since this style of eye makeup is a halo eye winged out on the corners, I thought that "angel" would be the perfect name for it! How To | Step by StepTo get a crisp line--a must with a winged out shadow look--I held up a piece of postacard like material beside my eyes. It's easy to do the same thing with a piece of tape, but I didn't want it in the way of these pictures. I used Suede from the palette as my transition, it's a great crease shade for my skin tone. Keeping the crisp line, I used Oak, a darker brown right in my crease, blending it out into Suede. To deepen up the outer corners on my eyes, I applied a dark grey: Stone. Of course, I blended Stone out into Oak and Suede as well. To add the halo aspect of the eye look, I had to darken up the inner portion of my eyes as well. I just went in with Stone on the inner half of my lid and also underneath my eyes. I highlighted my inner corners using the yellow shade: Feather, just to switch things up, but the palette has an ivory and white shadow as well. I also applied a bit of Feather to the center of my lids. I wanted to keep my look matte, but you could replace Feather with a shimmery shade for a different vibe. As usual, to finish the look I applied mascara. For this look, I also used the Ardell Double Wispies lashes.
XOX ♥ Price: $7 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.06 fl oz The Nyx Vivid Brights Liquid Liners in Vivid Blossom and Vivid Escape are a bright cool toned lilac and a bright pastel chartreuse with a matte finish. The Nyx Vivid Brights liners come in a long, colored tube and have a traditional, thin brush tip. I wouldn’t call the pigmentation complete full coverage, but in most cases, you probably would not need to build up layers to achieve the color. You also do not need to put the liner over a base in order to get the color to pop on the eyes. The color does tend to fade throughout the day, but it does not do so in a patchy manner. I recommend either applying a corresponding shadow on top of the liner or just reapplying. Liquid liners are not often found in the shades of the Vivid Brights collection, so if there is that one specific, fun color you are looking for, this line could be a good place to start! XOX ♥
Wet n Wild Prismatic Lip Gloss in Boogie White Lights & Ring My Bellbottoms | Review & Swatches12/23/2016 Price: $2.99 * Buy At: Kmart * Size: 0.11 fl oz The Wet n Wild Prismatic Lip Glosses are a collection of four shades, presumably for the holiday season. Boogie White Lights is a sheer white with pastel purple reflect & Ring My Bellbottoms is a sheer gold. The glosses have a clear tube so that you can see the color inside and the applicator is long and flat. Both shades apply smoothly onto the lips--it does not become thick or gloppy at any point. The gloss is pretty sheer; building it up on the lips gives the pigmentation that you can see in my photos. It does not build up much further than that. So while it does look pretty on the lips alone, but I think these are better used on top of a lipstick to alter the color and finish. The Prismatic Glosses are pretty comfortable on the lips, and this is coming from someone who is not usually a fan of gloss. They feel thin on the lips and are not sticky. Boogie White Lights and Ring My Bellbottoms are pretty unique shades, so getting them at a drugstore price is great if you are a lippie collector like me. XOX ♥
Price: $4.99 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.6 oz The Palladio Oil Absorbing Rice Powder is a loose translucent setting powder. The Palladio Rice Powder comes in a box with a plastic sifter and it comes with a small powder puff. This is a product that I have been curious ever since I started to get into makeup, but I just never purchased it. It is in the product’s nature to be a bit messy, but since the powder is translucent, it is not apparent if you spill a bit. The powder blends very easily into the skin and provides a natural matte finish. Obviously, it doesn’t provide any coverage, since it has no color. I like to use this product with a brush that is not too dense to avoid a cakey or powdery finish; this really gets the job done. Overall, I think it is a nice setting powder, and it also works well for “baking” on the skin, which is so popular at the moment. If loose powders aren’t your thing, then you probably wouldn’t like this one either, but for the affordable price, I think that it is worth a shot. XOX ♥
Price: $10 * Buy At: Walgreens * Size: 12g The Profusion Pro Eyeshadow Cases in Smoky and Natural are twelve pan shadow palettes both containing only neutral colors. The packaging is very closely modeled after the Urban Decay Naked palettes with the lightweight metal material, twelve long and skinny shadows and a dual ended brush. Profusion is a brand I see all the time at Five Below and TJ Maxx, but I've always seen it as one of those random brands that appears to cater more towards a younger crowd. I can't say anything about the other Profusion products, but these palettes are really nice. Formula-wise, they are the opposite of typical drugstore palettes: these two have gorgeous, creamy, blendable mattes, but the shimmer shades suck. Shimmer is typically what affordable brands get right, which is interesting, but since the mattes are so gorgeous, I really don't mind the sheer shimmers. In case I hadn't already made it clear enough, the mattes in the Smoky and the Natural palettes are super pigmented, as you can see in my swatches. Not only do they have great color payoff, but they blend like a dream. Even the matte black shade applies and blends easily! Obviously these palettes are lacking shimmery or metallic shades to be allover lid colors, but there are so many affordable brands that do metallics right, so it wouldn't be hard to gather a collection of them to supplement these palettes. If I had to pick a favorite between the two, I would pick the Smoky since there is a bit more color variety, especially on the lighter half of the palette. But at $10 a piece (or even cheaper on Profusion's website) you really don't need to choose! I would definitely recommend these to beginners since they are affordable and easy to blend, but I think these are musthaves in any collection. XOX ♥
Price: $53 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 20 x 0.035 oz The Tarte Tarteist Pro Palette contains sixteen matte and four metallic eyeshadows. The Tarteist Pro Palette is sleek and simple: gold and black. The palette is pretty large, so it has a big mirror under the lid. Each row is broken down with its own color scheme. The top row has warm browns, the second has a violet tone, the third is rosy and the bottom has cool neutrals. All the shades are great; none of them are a let down. The matte shadows have an incredibly soft and smooth formula. The metallic shades are very smooth and have intense pigmentation and are very shiny and reflective. You can see in my swatches how great the color payoff of each shadow is. Because the mattes are so soft, they do tend to kick up excess powder, similar to the Lorac Pro shadows. I really just can't say enough good things about this palette. The formulation of the shadows is amazing and the color selection is so broad and unique while still being neutral. The Tarteist Pro Palette has the shadows for every look, you wouldn't need to use other palettes in combination to get a gorgeous eye look. If it wasn't already obvious enough, I would definitely recommend this palette. XOX ♥
Price: $7 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.2 mL The Nyx #LOTD Lip Of The Day Liquid Lip Liners are metallic liners designed for creating lip art. Enchanted is a teal and Magnetic is a silver. The Lip Of The Day lip liners have a classic liquid eyeliner packaging with a long brush tip. A liquid lip liner is a very interesting concept...but it was created as a tool for the lip art trend on social media. Lining my lips with these was actually easier than I had expected, but I don't think I would recommend using them as an all over lip color. To cover my entire lips, I had to dip back into the product three or four times--so not the easiest method. Enchanted and Magnetic have pretty good color payoff, but they do not apply completely opaque on the lips, as you can see in my pictures. They are definitely not something I would wear alone, as they feel incredibly drying, more so than any matte liquid lipstick. Lip art is not something I am into, but believe it or not, these are two colors I would wear on any typical day. No, I don't think this kind of product is going to be a must have, but they are pretty unique and if the line has a specific color you are lacking, it is an affordable lip color. XOX ♥
