Price: $6.49 * Buy At: Kmart * Size: 0.7g The Rimmel Magnif'eyes Dual Ended Shadow + Kajal Liners are a cream shadow and kajal liner duo. They come in five shades, you can see my review of the other two from the collection HERE. Back To Blacks has a black kajal liner and a shimmery gunmetal cream shadow. Pink & Purple Rain has a dark purple kajal liner and a shimmery light pink cream shadow. Dark Side of Blue has a bright cobalt kajal liner and a satin dark grey cream shadow. The Magnif'eyes Duos consist of a kajal liner and a cream shadow stick, both of which are twist up products. To state it simply: I absolutely love these. I purchased the other two shades from the line, which I already posted a review of, and I just had to go back and pick up the rest of the line, something I never do. Both the shadow and the liner are so super creamy and just glide onto the skin. This formulation is consistent across all five duos, which is really great. The liners and shadows are very intense and pigmented, and the color lasts all day on the eyes, and actually can be difficult to remove! The liner and show set quickly on the eyes, so if you are looking to blend it out, you have to work quickly. The product does not need to be set, but does work great as an eyeshadow base. XOX ♥

Price: $6.49 * Buy At: Kmart * Size: 0.7 g The Rimmel Magnif’eyes Double Ended Shadow + Liner is a cream shadow stick and khol kajal eyeliner duo. The range has only five shades, and the two I picked up are Kissed by a Rose Gold & Queens of the Bronzed Age. Kissed by a Rose Gold has a gorgeous metallic rose gold cream shadow accompanied by a dark brown liner. Queens of the Bronzed Age has a metallic bronze cream shadow and a shimmery champagne liner. I don’t usually gravitate towards dual ended products, but these duos are not gimmicky whatsoever. The cream shadow and liner are both amazingly creamy and smooth. Queens of the Bronzed Age and Kissed by a Rose Gold both have consistent formulas with intense pigmentation. What makes these duos even better is that they are smudge proof, waterproof and incredibly long lasting. The only downside to the formula is that it sets pretty quickly, so if you are wanting to blend out the color, you will need to work quickly. XOX ♥
Price: $20 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.04 oz (full size) The Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Voodoo is a mid tone purple with little bits of glitter. The 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils are traditional pencil liners that you have to sharpen. Despite the glitter in the product, the liner is still pretty creamy and glides on like other shades from the line. I have worn Voodoo on my waterline and did not have any irritation from the glitter. Voodoo has pretty good color payoff, but it's not completely opaque. Personally, I'm not really someone that often wears purple eyeliner, so I will not be getting a ton of use out of Voodoo, but I still enjoy the formula. XOX ♥
Price: $3.49 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 1 g / 0.04 oz The Nyx Eye/Eye Brow Pencil in Charcoal is a cool toned dark grey with a matte finish. The Nyx Slim Eye Pencil is a classic pencil liner that requires sharpening. The formula is kind of dry, but it doesn't really pull on the skin. Charcoal doesn't have the best color payoff and it did need to be built up to get the color seen in the swatches. I feel that this color would work for someone that wants a subtle liner look on the top lash line or in the waterline. Overall it's not a great liner, but I don't hate it. XOX ♥
Price: $19 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 1.2 g / 0.04 oz The Tarte Skinny SmolderEYES Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner in Onyx is a rich black pencil liner. If you purchase this liner separately, it will also have a smudger sponge on the end, but I got this one in a set. I really love the formula of this liner. It is very creamy and the product is very opaque and black. Once applied to the lids it is completely smudge proof and waterproof. In the waterline it does last a little longer than most of my other pencil liners. However, when it does disapear, it doesn't smudge on the lower lash line, which is really nice. With the creamy, smudge and waterproof formula in addition to the rich opaque black color, I think that this liner is a great option for anyone looking for a basic black pencil liner. I also think that this liner will transition well into the warmer, more humid months. XOX ♥
Price: $7.99 * Buy At: Target * Size: 2.48 g / 0.087 oz The L'Oreal Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner is a short, thick eyeliner pencil. The liner also comes with a jumbo sharpener to use with this liner or with other jumbo liners. First I wanted to bring up that despite the fact that this liner is quite short, it contains just as much, if not more, product than other pencil liners that are longer and thinner. This liner has a quite dry formula, which made me think that I would not like it, but I actually really enjoy this eyeliner! Its drier formula also allows it to keep a sharp tip without constantly being sharpened. The back of the package suggests using this liner on the upper and lower lash line. Although it's dry, I actually think it applies nicely to the lids. This liner has more of a soft black color and could work for someone who finds typical black liners to be too dark or dramatic. My favorite use of this liner is lining the waterline and the tightline. The size of the liner makes it very easy to line the water & tight line, even for people with more sensitive eyes. XOX ♥
Price: $8.99 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.03 oz / 1.1g The L'Oreal Silkissime by Infallible Eyeliner in Highlighter is a reflective, brightening rose gold pencil liner. While the product appears to be a purple-y pink, it is a true rose gold color when applied. This color of liner is very unique, especially at the drugstore. The rose gold color is really pretty and reflective, making it a different option for brightening the waterline or inner corner. Even though it is not a jumbo pencil, you could blend Highlighter all over the lid as a lid color or base. The liner has a smooth, creamy texture and lasted in the inner corner of my eyes all day with out smudging. XOX ♥
Price: $4.49 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.18 oz / 5 g The Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Sparkle Green is a dark teal green cream shadow with silver glitter, obviously in the form of a jumbo eye pencil. The Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencils come in white plastic tubes with a clear lid. The clear lid is fairly cheap and does crack after a little bit if you are not careful when putting the lid on (this has happened to my Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk) Sparkle Green applies pretty smoothly, especially for being a product that contains glitter. It applies fairly evenly, but does need some building up to make the color completely opaque. Sparkle Green could be a base for other teal shadows or for a teal smokey eye, but can also be worn alone or as eye liner. While other Nyx Jumbo Pencils are safe in the waterline, I would not suggest using Sparkle Green in the waterline since it contains glitter. XOX
I feel that eyeliner is the most daunting product to pick out and use for people just starting out with makeup. Everyone has an eyeliner type that is the best for them, there are 5 main kinds of eyeliner; Gel, Pencil, Pen/Felt Tip, Liquid & Powder Eye Shadow. (Keep in mind that all the products I show have been used and loved for months, so they are not in their best condition) Gel EyelinerIf an angled eyeliner brush is your preferred style of eyeliner application and you are looking for a crisp, clean line, than gel eyeliner may be right for you. I typically wouldn't advise gel liner for beginners, because it takes practice, but some people are good with this type right away. I would also stay away from gel liner if you don't have a lot of time to do your makeup, as this style of liner tends to take longer to do. Gel eyeliner comes in a small pot with a lid and comes in a variety of color, but darker colors are more common and easily accessible. Pencil EyelinerEven if you decide that a pencil liner isn't the best choice for you for the lid, I think a pencil liner is a must for lining the waterline and if you want, the tightline. Typically, pencil liner creates a softer line than liquid or pen and can look more natural. I like a pencil liner that is soft, so it doesn't hurt your lids, but not too soft where you are constantly sharpening it. I think the Rimmel Scandaleyes liner is a nice halfway between the two extremes. It is a pretty soft liner, but you don't need to sharpen it all the time. Pen/Felt Tip EyelinerI think that the Pen/Felt Tip Eyeliner is a great style of eyeliner for beginners. It allows the precision of a pencil eyeliner without dragging or pulling on your eyelid. I also find that it can be easier than liquid liner. The only downside of these for me, is that these liners dry up faster than liquid and the tip of the liner also dries out quickly. Liquid EyelinerLiquid Eyeliner is intimidating to a lot of people, but it is my go-to style for a simple line on my lid. I like liquid liner because it doesn't pull on your lid at all and creates a crisp line. This style is easy for some and difficult for others, so I would pick up a cheap one (like the NYC Liquid Eyeliner) to play around with to see if liquid liner is the right thing for you. Powder EyeshadowLast is the most simple liner style, that I feel is the easiest for beginners. Plus, if you have the desired liner shade you want in a powder eye shadow, then you don't even need to buy an eyeliner! I like to use powder eye shadow for lining my eyes because it gives a much softer, natural look even when you use very dark colors. I also find that it is the most foolproof method since powder is the easiest to rub off out of the 5 styles I have talked about. All I do is take an angled liner brush (or any liner brush style that you like) press it into the shadow and make my line the desired thickness using short strokes. My favorite shadow to use as eyeliner is Blackout (Naked 2) or Crave (Naked Basics) by Urban Decay because it is a very black color and applies effortlessly!
XOX ♥ Price: $9 * Buy At: Sephora * Size: 0.04 oz The Sephora Contour Eye Liners are a new line of super creamy liners from Sephora. The shade 5th Avenue is a dark matte grey. This liner is the creamiest and smoothest pencil liner I have ever tried. It blows the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Liners out of the water. They are super pigmented and just glide on so easily. I also really like the shade 5th Avenue as an alternative to a traditional black liner. Even though the packaging claims to be, this liner is not completely waterproof. It is still water resistant, but it does smudge if you rub it while it's wet. Once the liner has set, it is pretty smudge-proof as well. XOX ♥
