The Nyx Powder Blush in Pinky is a bright, cool toned pink with a matte finish.
The Nyx Powder Blushes come in black plastic packaging with a clear lid, the hinge on the lid does wear out after a lot of use, but that is to be expected with packaging on inexpensive products.
Pinky is one of the most pigmented blushes that I have tried from Nyx and since it is a bright pink, I would suggest using a light hand or a brush that isn't too dense if you have lighter skin. The pigmentation makes Pinky a great option for people with darker skin tones, especially cool toned ones. Pinky also applies and blends out really nicely, which allows you to blend it out if you applied too much of this bright color.

The Nyx Love in Rio Shadow Trio in En Fuego contains three gorgeous shades in a black plastic package with a portion of the lid being clear, allowing you to see the colors inside. En Fuego contains a matte dark grey, a cranberry with a sheen and a shimmery pewter.
All three shadows in En Fuego have a smooth, soft texture. These shadows have nice pigmentation, but do need to be built up to achieve a color close to how they look in the pan. I mainly bought this trio for the cranberry color, and it is gorgeous. It's a warm cranberry while still being very wearable. The light shimmery pinky pewter color also makes a nice lid shade, but does need to be built up. The gunpowder grey is also a nice color for the crease or outer corner. I believe it's matte, but it may have a little sheen.

The Nyx Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Nude Pink is a classic pink gloss with no shimmer or glitter. It comes in a long, rectangular tube with a black lid. This gloss has a classic doe foot applicator. The Mega Shine Glosses also have a very strong cherry candy scent that many people like, but I find it to be too strong of a scent. You can't smell it once applied, so it doesn't matter that much to me.
The Nyx Mega Shine Gloss in Nude Pink has a medium thickness that thins out as the day goes on. It feels moisturizing at first, but it feels less and less comfortable throughout the wear. I find this gloss' formula to be fairly similar to their Butter Glosses that I absolutely adore, but I get a little bit of a tingly feeling from this lip gloss that I don't find to be comfortable. Nude Pink is not opaque, but, has nice color payoff. Nude Pink does have some shine to the finish, but I don't find it to be any glossier than other lip glosses that I own.

The Nyx Slim Lip Pencil in Plum is a warm, berry plum lip liner. This liner is a classic pencil and needs to be sharpened.
The Nyx Slim Lip Pencils do not have a super creamy or soft formulation, but that is what I love about them. Once you apply them, they don't move or slide around all day. It also allows the color to last most of the day and fade into a nice stain, plum in this case. The formula of Plum is very thin and you almost can't tell that you are wearing anything on lips. The only downside to these lip liners is that they feel dry, but this is a quick fix with a layer of lip balm, gloss or a corresponding lipstick. I will be wearing Plum Perfect from Maybelline and Sangria from Milani over this lip liner.

The Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Sparkle Green is a dark teal green cream shadow with silver glitter, obviously in the form of a jumbo eye pencil. The Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencils come in white plastic tubes with a clear lid. The clear lid is fairly cheap and does crack after a little bit if you are not careful when putting the lid on (this has happened to my Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk)
Sparkle Green applies pretty smoothly, especially for being a product that contains glitter. It applies fairly evenly, but does need some building up to make the color completely opaque. Sparkle Green could be a base for other teal shadows or for a teal smokey eye, but can also be worn alone or as eye liner. While other Nyx Jumbo Pencils are safe in the waterline, I would not suggest using Sparkle Green in the waterline since it contains glitter.

The Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipstick in the shade 14 is a nude with a brown undertone and a creme finish. This line of Rimmel lipsticks come in a black tube with the the top of the lid at an angle. The shade number and color swatch are at the bottom of the tube & Kate Moss's signature in red is also on the tube.
The Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipstick in the shade 14 has a creamy formulation and applies easily to the lips. This lipstick does not have a matte finish, but does not have much shine to the finish, making it look quite natural on the lips. The Kate Moss lipsticks have the same scent as the classic Rimmel lipsticks, which I am not a big fan of, but the scent does not linger. The brown undertone also makes 14 a great option for a nude lip in the fall or winter.
Classic Red Lipstick & Liner
A red lipstick with a natural matte finish and a corresponding liner is a classic way to wear a red lip. Shown in the pictures is the Wet N Wild Lip Liner in Berry Red and the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in 69.
Try a pigmented red gloss for an easy red lip with a nice amount of gloss. Shown is the Nyx Butter Gloss in Cherry Pie.
If a straight up red color isn't for you, try a plummy red. Just fill in your lips with a plum or plummy red liner and use a sheer red on top. In the photos I used the Nyx Slim Lip Pencil in Plum followed by the Maybelline Color Whisper In Who Wore It Red-er.
Merry Christmas! I hope you have an amazing day!
I have finally worked out how to photograph my eyes and wanted to show you the look I am planning on wearing for Christmas. Keep reading to see what products I used and how I used them! (Yes, there are dry patches on my forehead and nose, I have dry skin and it is worse during the winter.)
You can use any similar products you have to recreate this look, but here are the products I used: Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bold Gold, Nyx Single Shadow in Glitter White, Half Baked & Bootycall from the UD Naked 2 Palette, Mauve, Espresso, Sable and Cream from the Lorac Pro Palette, Essence Super Fine Liner Pen, Sephora Nano Liner in Pure White, Rimmel Scandaleyes Liner in Black, Benefit They're Real Mascara, Maybelline Illegal Lengths Mascara, Maybelline The Rocket Mascara & Pixi Lash Booster Mascara. On my brows is the Elf Wet Gloss Brow & Lash Mascara and the Avon Brow Liner in Blonde.
I used two different bases to start off this look, a white and gold. I put the white on the inner half of my lids and the gold on the outer half and let them set as I did my brows. Next I patted on a shimmery white shadow on the portion of my lid with the white base and a shimmery gold shadow on the portion with the gold base. Since the white and gold did not blend too well in the center of my lid, I used a light shimmery ivory with a peachy undertone where the two shadows met to blend the colors together.
Next I moved onto the crease, I wanted a clean edge to the crease color, so I placed tape next to my eye to give a clean line. I used a light cool toned brown all over my crease as a transition shade and blended it out. I used a smaller crease blush and applied a medium brown shade all through out the crease. Lastly, I used a dark brown just on the outer third of my crease and finished out blending the crease with a little more of the light brown. I added a light ivory shade under my brow, as well.
As with all my shadow looks, I finished this look off with liner and mascara. I used a black pen style liner to create a fairly thin line on most of my lid, stopping in the inner corner. Then I lined my tightline and waterline with a black pencil liner. I also added a white pencil liner in the inner corners and patted them with my finger to make the color not as stark. For my bottom lashes I used the Pixi mascara because it gives a more natural look which is what I like on my bottom lashes. For the top lashes I used three different mascaras, one coat of each, after curling them. I started with my Benefit Mascara and then used both of the Maybelline mascaras.
I hope you enjoyed this makeup look, and hopefully I will come out with more looks soon!

The Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Plum Perfect is a dark berry lipstick with a little bit of shine. This lipstick comes in a rectangular tube with a long, dark purple lid, since Plum Perfect is a part of the Plum collection.
I really like this color because it's a plum without being too purple and it's a dark color without being too vampy or out there. In fact, its on the border of being a berry. Plum Perfect is a bit patchy, but not bad. The Maybelline Color Sensational lipsticks are definitely not the creamiest or smoothest and actually have more of a dry formula, however these are surprisingly comfortable to wear. It is because of this, though, that they wear quite a while and leave a stain that last all day. (In fact, the swatch on my arm was still slightly visible after a complete 24 hours and multiple times trying to wash it off). The last thing I would like to point out is that these lipsticks smell like Play-doh. I haven't heard anyone else mention this, but it honestly smells just like Play-doh.

The fourth installment of the Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palettes has arrived, and it is the gorgeous Naked 3 Palette. This palette contains 12, never before seen rose toned neutral shadows with a mixture of finishes.
The Naked 3 Palette has similar packaging to the Naked 2 Palette. It is packaged in a textured rosy tan tin package that securely snaps closed. The palette also has a large mirror, covering the entire lid of the palette when opened. In addition to the 12 shadows in the palette, Naked 3 comes with a double ended brush and a Primer Potion Sample Card.
Consistant with Naked & Naked 2, the first six shadow of Naked 3 are the lighest. The light shadows in Naked 3 are Strange, a matte light pink ivory, Dust, a very glittery light pink, Burnout, a warm pink with a sheen, Limit, a matte light pink brown, Buzz......and Trick, a warm shimmery copper.
The last six shadows of Naked 3 are the darker shades. They are Nooner, a medium pink brown, Liar..., Factory..., Mugshot.... Darkside.... and Blackheart, a matte black with pink/red glitter.
The shadows all have a soft and smooth formula in addition to their amazing pigmentation. I don't have any issues of fallout, except for the shade Dust, which has been a problem shade among many beauty bloggers. Dust is a quite glittery shade, which can be very pretty on the center of the lid, but can create fallout. There are a few close shades in Naked 3 compared to Naked, Naked 2 and the Naked Basics palette and a separate comparison post will be coming soon (and may already be up, depending on when you are reading this).
Just like in the Naked 2 Palette, the Naked 3 Palette comes with a nice double ended. Unlike the brushes commonly thrown into palettes, this one has really nice quality. The bristles are soft and do not shed. The brush in Naked 3 has a medium sized shader brush on one side and a fluffy crease/blending brush on the other. While I use this brush in combination with others while using this brush, you can create a complete look with just this brush, also making it a convenient travel companion.
Primer Potion Sample Card
The Naked 3 Palette does not come with an actual deluxe sized product sample, but it does come with a sample card of the popular Urban Decay Primer Potion, in four different kinds. This sample card contains a nice amount of the original (invisible) primer potion, Eden (nude matte), Sin (shimmery) and the new Anti Aging formula.
