Price: $18 * Buy At: Sephora * Size: 0.5 oz The Urban Decay single shadow in Midnight Cowboy is a neutral pink with silver glitter. The Urban Decay single shadow in Maui Wowie is a golden beige with silver glitter. Shown in my pictures are the single shadows in the old packaging, but both shades are still available in the new packaging. Due to the fact that both of these shadows have glitter, they are fairly dry. Midnight Cowboy is more glittery and is more dry than Maui Wowie. I don't relate the feel of either of these shadows to any in the Naked, Naked 2 or Naked Basics palettes from Urban Decay (Chopper from the Naked 2 has a similar glitter finish, these two shadows are still a little more dry than Chopper). However, the pigmentation is still there. Maui Wowie is more pigmented than Midnight Cowboy, but Midnight Cowboy is a lighter color and is more glittery. They apply pretty well, but as you would expect from a glittery shadow, there is fall out. A quick tip to remove glitter fall out from the face is with tape, place the tape on the glitter fall out and it will stick to the tape and remove from your face. Overall, these are nice shadows, the pigmentation and application is consistent with Urban Decay shadows, but they are quite dry feeling. XOX ♥

Price: $18 * Buy At: Ulta Real Techniques has taken over as my favorite makeup brush brand and I have some more brushes from Real Techniques to share today! This is the Real Techniques Core Collection, which comes with 4 brushes as well as a 2-in-1 case and stand. Since these are face brushes, they have the orange handle. Unlike the brushes you can buy by themselves, these have a straight base. The single brushes have a flared out base. I like these better because they take up less room in my brush cup. The Core Collection contains 4 face brushes. The brushes in this set are the budding brush, contour brush, pointed foundation brush & detailer brush. They all have the same quality, soft bristles that do not shed. Below is the brushes set up in the stand that they come in. I think that it is unique and handy, but I just put my brushes in a brush cup. Buffing BrushThe Buffing Brush is the largest in the set and is comparable in size to the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush that I love. While it is called a buffing brush, I find that it can be used for multiple purposes. For me, it isn't quite dense enough to buff in concealer or foundation (I like the Expert Face brush for this since it is much more dense) But, this brush can be used for blush and contouring! The density of this brush allows the perfect amount of blush and does a great job buffing and blending in the blush. The Buffing brush can apply a medium amount of bronzer for contouring as well. This brush is very soft and does not shed when washing or using. Contour BrushNow that I've talked about being able to use the Buffing brush for contouring, let's move onto the actual Contour Brush. This brush is smaller and longer than the Buffing Brush and is tapered. I have a smaller head and cheekbones, so this brush is a great size for me to contour with. I feel that if you have a large head and/or cheeks, than this brush may be too small for you. I find the size of this brush perfect to apply contour to under the cheekbones, to the temples and to the sides of the nose. This brush isn't super dense, which allows you to blend out the contour and avoid a harsh line of bronzer. It also helps to not apply too much bronzer. Again, this brush is very soft and does not shed while washing or using it. Pointed Foundation BrushThe Pointed Foundation Brush has the classic, rounded foundation brush shape. However, this foundation brush is much skinnier than most foundation brushes this style. This brush is dense, but not quite as dense as your average foundation brush. Because of the size of this brush, I find two main ways to use it. The first one is obviously for foundation application. I like to dip this brush in my foundation (if it doesn't have a pump) and dot it all over my face, following up with a brush to blend and buff it in. But, how I really like to use it is for blending in concealer. It effortlessly blends in liquid or cream concealer without taking away any of the coverage. This brush has a very silky feel and does not shed. Detailer BrushLastly, is the smallest brush in the set, the Detailer Brush. Like most Real Techniques brushes, the Detailer Brush can be used in multiple ways. The Detailer Brush can be used to blend out concealer on small blemishes, just like the Pointed Foundation Brush. It's also a great brush for concealing around your lips to get the perfect lip shape, if that is something that you do. I like to conceal around my lips when using red or darker lipsticks. Even though this brush is in a face collection, the size of it makes it able to be used as an eye brush as well. This is a fairly dense brush, so you could use it for a concentrated color on the lid, as well as an inner eye color or highlight. The Detailer Brush is very silky and does not shed. XOX
Price: $5.99 * Buy At: Target * Size: 0.3 fl oz I know I am a little behind the bandwagon of this mascara, but I am finally trying it out. I actually bought it probably 6 months ago, and I felt bad about having so many mascaras open, so I left it in the package until I finally finished up some older mascaras. The Rocket mascara comes in a bright blue tube with pink writing. The Rocket's wand is quite large for a mascara wand and has small rubber bristles. For me, the Rocket provided quite a bit of length and volume. My lashes were huge when I applied the mascara at first, but they calmed down after a few minutes. I used two coats in the results photos and the second coat added some nice thickness to the lashes. The Rocket did not clump up on my lashes and it applied evenly from the roots to the tips of my lashes. The only thing I would change about this mascara would maybe be a smaller wand since this wand is quite long and also thick. ResultsXOX ♥
Price: $6 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.105 oz / 3g The NYX Love in Rio Eye Shadow Trio contains a matte ivory, shimmery light taupe & a matte darker taupe brown. This trio is in black plastic packaging with a partially clear lid, so you can see the colors inside. The opening on the package has a cute bow on it. When you open the trio, the lid causes the shadows to angle towards you and not lay flat on a table, which I actually really like. Lastly, the trio comes with the typical double ended sponge applicator. The shadows have a soft texture, but no where near Inglot's shadow texture. These shades have okay pigmentation and I found that all three shades applied better with a synthetic brush. They are a little chalky when building them up, but I do like the colors when built up. Like most shadows, these will apply better and last longer with an eye primer. But, what's good about these shadows is that I find them to blend in the crease easily. I think this trio gives you a very quick and easy eye look. I like to apply the cream color all over the lid with the dark taupe blended in the crease. The shimmery taupe is the least pigmented of the three and I tend not to use that color. Overall I think it is a nice trio for creating a basic, quick eye look. The pigmentation and shadow quality isn't perfect, but for $6, this trio could be a great option to travel with. XOX ♥
Price: $20 * Buy At: Sephora * Size: 0.16 oz / 4.5 g The Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in RSVP is a light shimmery pink cream shadow. The Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadows come in a cute little box (see first picture) and are packaged with a clear lid and an ivory scalloped base. I also wanted to mention the size of this shadow because there is a lot of product in here! The Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadows contain 0.16 oz of product, while a normal full sized MAC or Urban Decay Shadow is 0.05 oz. These shadows contain more than three times the amount of product! I love the formula of these cream shadows. They are super creamy, glide onto the lid and have amazing pigmentation. RSVP may not look super pigmented in the swatches, but that is due to the fact that it is a light pink color. RSVP also lives up to Benefit's claim, it is creaseless without a primer! RSVP wears all day on my lids without transferring, smudging or creasing. Even though the formula and product size justifies the price, if you are looking for a cheaper alternative, the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Inked in Pink is similar to RSVP. XOX ♥
Price: $4.99 * Buy At: Target * Size: 0.14 oz / 4 g Kate Moss's collaboration with Rimmel, has produced some great matte lipsticks. Here I have 4 to share with you. 101, a cool toned natural pink, 103, a warm toned natural pink, 104 a darker neutral pink and 109 a vibrant orange-coral. 103 and 104 are quite similar, but, 103 is warmer and not as dark as 104. 101 is also similar to the 103 & 104 , but 101 is cooler & lighter. The matte lipsticks from the Kate Moss line come in the traditional Rimmel lipstick tube, but they are red, which I think is really cute. The lid has Kate's signature on it and the bottom of each lipstick has a colored sticker with the lipstick's number on it. These lipsticks have quite the thin formula, but are still nice and opaque. The formula is slightly moisturizing and isn't as dry as a lot of matte lipsticks, but still has a dryer feel than a lot of lipsticks. On the lips they are comfortable, and again, thin, and they almost have a slightly gritty feel for some reason, but it isn't bad. The matte texture allows the pigmentation to last longer on the lips than normal lipsticks and I got 4 to 5 hours of wear out of these colors before a need to reapply. XOX ♥
