Price: $5.59 * Buy At: Target * Size: 4.2 g / 0.15 oz The Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Lilac Flush is a cool toned pinky lilac. Lilac Flush is a part of the brand new Rebel Bloom collection, which is permanent. The Rebel Bloom Lipsticks have the same packaging as the rest of the Color Sensational Lipsticks, except they have a pinky purple lid. Lilac Flush has the same Play-doh scent as the other Maybelline lipsticks. Lilac Flush is slightly sheer, which makes the color much more wearable. It is very easy to build up, as well, which is what I did for the lip swatch. It applies quite smoothly and doesn't pull on the lips at all. Lilac Flush feels moisturizing without being slippery and wears comfortably on the lips. I find it quite comparable in formula to the other Color Sensational lipsticks I own. I absolutely love the color of Lilac Flush and I know I will be wearing it a ton in the future. XOX ♥

Any shadows that I didn't specify what brand or what palette it is from is from the Smashbox Double Exposure Palette. To see my full review and swatches of the palette, click HERE. How To | Step by StepAfter using the Elf Eyelid Primer to prime my lids, I applied a light brown (Clay from the Stila In The Know Palette) all over the crease with a Sigma E25 as a transition shade. With the same E25 brush, I used a matte red violet (Fig) all over the crease. Using the same shadow, I went in with a smaller crease brush from Coastal Scents to deepen up the crease, focusing it mainly on the outer half. I blended out Fig with the Sigma E40 brush. To add more sparkle to the lid, I started off with a base of the Sephora Jumbo Liner in Pink Glitter. I just applied it straight from the product to my lids. With a shader brush from Coastal Scents, I applied Flushed, a shimmery rose, all over the lid. To add a bit more dimension to the look, I applied Quartz, the rose gold, just on the center of the lids. To add definition to the lower lashline, I used a flat liner brush from Sephora and Fig directly below the waterline. I also used a bit of the shadow on a Sigma E47 to blend out the color. I used a light rose gold liner, L'Oreal Silkissimee in Highlight, to my waterline, but it didn't really make a difference even though I built it up. This look would look best with either a nude or brown liner in the waterline. I applied the Nyx Crystal Liner in Crystal Hip all over the lids to add more sparkle. To complete the look, I applied the Jordana Best Lash Extreme Mascara.
XOX ♥ I swatched all twelve original shades of the Butter Gloss line back in September of 2013 and have picked up eight of the newer releases, so I figured it was time for an updated Butter Gloss swatch post! The only shades I do not own are Ginger Snap and Red Velvet, since they appear to be a bit too dark for my skin tone, but who knows, maybe I will pick them up sometime to finish off my collection. I have reviewed most of the shades separately, so if you are interested in a more in depth review or lip swatches on some of the Butter Glosses, check the "Product Finder" under the Makeup tab or click HERE! Price: $58 * Buy At: Ulta The IT Cosmetics Your Beautiful Basics Airbrush 101 5-Piece Brush Set comes with five brushes, three for the face and two for the eyes. All of the brushes come with a shiny chrome handle and are made of synthetic hairs. The synthetic hairs are extremely soft and feel great on the face. The Airbrush Powder Brush is a very soft, medium sized tapered brush. The Powder Brush is the softest brush in the collection. The size and shape reminds me a bit of the Real Techniques Blush Brush, but this one is much softer and a bit less tapered and less dense. The brush is big enough to apply powder all over the face, and it is small enough to apply blush, bronzer or even highlight. The density of the brush hairs prevent it from applying too much of a product and prevents product from looking cakey. The Airbrush Foundation Brush is a soft, medium dense flattened powder brush. It is similar in shape to the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, but like with the first brush, the IT Cosmetics version is much softer and also less dense. It takes a bit more time to blend out foundation with this brush than the Expert Face Brush, but it also gives a much more airbrushed finish. I find that it's quite difficult to get this brush to apply foundation cakey. Since this brush isn't too dense, it could also work for applying blush or contour. The Airbrush Concealer Brush is a soft, small flared out brush. The shape of the brush reminds me of a smaller version of the Sigma F05 Small Contour brush, but the size difference makes them much different brushes. It is a bit denser than the Foundation Brush, but still not too dense so that it gives the skin an airbrushed finish. The brush is soft and delicate enough to blend out concealer under the eyes as well as all over the face. The Airbrush Shadow Brush is a soft, fluffy flattened shadow brush. While they aren't quite the same shape, I like to use the Shadow Brush the same way I use the Sigma E25 Blending Brush. The brush works great for applying and blending out color in the crease. The Airbrush Crease Brush is a soft, dense dome brush. The brush is quite dense so it really packs on the color, but the soft bristles help to blend the shadow out and prevent it from looking harsh. I really like to use this brush to apply lighter transition colors. XOX ♥
Price: $6.99 * Buy At: Target * Size: 5 mL / 0.17 oz The Maybelline Color Elixir in Mauve Mystique is a medium neutral pink with no shimmer or glitter. I wouldn't necessarily call the color a mauve. The Color Elixirs come in a lipstick-like package with a short doe foot applicator. You can see the product's color straight through the clear tube, which I really like. The color's name is also printed on the bottom of the tube. The formula of the Color Elixir glosses is amazing. They aren't at all sticky and provide plenty of moisture to the lips. They are on the thicker side for a lip gloss, but it doesn't really bother me. If you aren't really a lip gloss person (like me), I would still give the Color Elixir line a try. Mauve Mystique does have good color payoff, but it doesn't alter the color of my lips very much. XOX ♥
Price: $11.99 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 6 x 1.5 g / 0.05 oz The Nyx Conceal Correct Contour Palette in Light contains six cream face colors: a neutral ivory, a yellow ivory, a pale yellow, a pink ivory, a warm brown and a light pink. The Conceal Correct Contour Palette comes in an ivory compact with a clear lid, straying from their classic black packaging. All of the colors in the palette have a very similar formula, which is great to see. None of the shades were a dud to me. The product feels creamy, but slightly sticky. It's not thick at all, so it is difficult to apply too much. Because of the thinner formula, I don't find the product to crease throughout the day. All of the shades, except for the brown, have a light to medium coverage that is buildable. The brown shade is quite full coverage and opaque. Since the lighter shades aren't full coverage, I don't find this palette to work great for someone that is looking to cover blemishes. I like to use this palette for cream highlighting and contouring, which I prefer over using powder. The brown shade is actually really easy to blend out when applied wherever you would contour. Typically, I contour under my cheekbones and on the sides of my nose, and I highlight under my eyes and down the center of my nose. The three lightest shades in this palette work well on my skin as a highlight, but I don't find much use for the yellow shade, since I have a cool and rather pink skin tone. I wouldn't say that this is a staple product for every makeup collection, but if you are into cream highlighting and contouring, I would definitely pick this one up, especially with the affordable price. Price: $52 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 17 g / 0.59 oz The Smashbox Double Exposure Palette contains fourteen shadows and a double ended brush. The Palette comes with a deluxe sample size of their Full Exposure mascara. Smashbox really promotes that all of the shadows in the palette can be used wet or dry. The second installment in the Exposure palette family has the same packaging and layout as the original. However, the Double Exposure has a completely different shadow selection. The Double Exposure Palette features non-neutral shadows and doesn't have the top row of shimmery shadows and bottom row of matte shadows that the first one did. Infact, the Double Exposure only contains three mattes, compared to the Full Exposure's seven mattes. Even though they don't all have different finishes, the columns of shadows are in a similar family. This palette's shadows also have specific names, where the first one's shadows were named M1-M7 and S1-S7. Silver is a metallic bluish silver. It has a soft texture and gives a semi-metallic look to the lids. When applied wet, Silver gets a bit more metallic and also a bit darker in color. Mauve is a metallic medium cool toned purple. The finish doesn't change when Mauve is applied wet, but it does get a little darker. Peony is a metallic neutral rose. Its texture was the same as the first two shadows and it also gets darker when applied wet. Blanc is a shimmery cool toned white. Blanc was a little powdery, but still had a soft texture. When applied wet, it applies a little more opaque, but doesn't change in color. Quartz is a metallic rose gold. Its texture is the same as the other metallic shades. When applied wet, Quartz looks more intense and the slightest bit more gold. Flushed is a metallic medium peach. I don't really notice a difference when it is applied wet. Veiled is a yellow ivory. Smashbox says that it is a satin finish, but I find it to be matte. It had a soft texture but wasn't as pigmented as the first six shadows. It applies more pigmented when wet. Midnight is a very dark navy with blue micro glitter. It applies a bit more dry than the shimmery shadows, but still has a very nice texture. When applied wet, Midnight looks more blue. Temper is a dark purple with a bit of a sheen. It applies a bit dry, similar to Midnight. Temper gets darker when applied wet. Haze is a shimmery grey purple. It has the same soft feel as the shimmers in the top row. I don't notice a huge difference when Haze is applied wet. Noir is a matte black. It has a chalky feel in the pan, but it applies surprisingly smooth. Applying Noir wet makes the black a little more intense. Copper is a metallic dark copper. It has a soft and smooth texture. It looks a bit more intense when applied wet. Fig is a matte neurtal red violet. Fig has a smooth texture. If applied wet, it gives off a darker color. Espresso is a matte warm medium brown. I find that Espresso has the best formula out of the three mattes. Espresso does get the slighest bit darker when applied wet. Overall, I really like palette and I think that the muted, but colorful shades are great for subtle pops of color. I don't think that it will be replacing my Full Exposure palette, but it will definitely be getting a lot of use. I'm not crazy about the brush that comes in the palette, but I still think that it is a nice extra. Since the palette doesn't have many neutral shades, I wouldn't call this palette a must have for everyone, but it is great for anyone looking to expand their eye shadow collection. XOX ♥
