Price: $49 * Buy At: Sephora * Size: 0.49 oz / 14 g The Smashbox Full Exposure palette contains 14 powder shadows, 7 matte shadows and 7 shimmery/glittery shadows. The packaging has a rubberized finish, similar to Nars' packaging and has a decent sized mirror in the lid. The palette comes with a double ended brush as well as a mini version of the Full Exposure mascara. The shadows don't have a specific name, but are referred to as S1, S2, S3...etc. as you can see on the back of the palette. The Full Exposure palette contains a variety of cool and warm neutrals. M1 is a warm dark brown, M2 is a warm medium brown, M3 is a peachy light brown, M4 is a warm cream, M5 is a cool light brown, M6 is a medium cool brown and M7 is a black. All seven matte shadows in this palette are quite smooth and soft. I'm happy to report that there isn't a "dud" shade in the matte row, none of them are chalky and they all blend really nicely. My favorite two shades are M2 and M3 because they are gorgeous peachy browns that are different than the average browns that I have in other palettes. Each of the matte shades have a corresponding glittery shadow to go with it. S1 is a pinky brown, S2 is a warm copper, S3 is a light gold, S4 is a champagne, S5 is a taupe, S6 is a cool brown and S7 is a dark slate. All of the shadows are glittery, except for S4 which just has shimmer. Most of the shimmer shadows take a bit of building up to get the color in the pan, but can also work as a pretty shimmery "top coat" for the matte shades or any other shadows. Other than S4 (the shimmery champagne) you can expect fall out from all of the glittery shades. For me, it's easiest to apply the shimmer shades with my finger instead of a brush. I also find that they apply much nicer with a tacky base (I used the Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Sparkle Nude) Full Exposure MascaraThe Smashbox Full Exposure mascara is a lengthening and thickening mascara. With this, it is important to keep in mind that this mascara can clump easily if you aren't careful or give you spider lashes. For me, the results are somewhat similar to the Benefit They're Real mascara. The wand is made of natural bristles and isn't shaped in any special way. Double Ended BrushThe Smashbox Full Exposure Palette also comes with a double ended brush, one side for the matte shades and one side for the shimmery shades. Both ends of the brush are quite soft and I feel that this brush is nicely made and isn't one of those brushes that just sit in the palette, never being used. The matte side is great for applying and blending color in the crease, with out sheering out the color. The shimmer side of the brush is nice, but I don't think that it works well with the shimmer shades. It doesn't pick up much product and gives you more of a subtle shimmer on the lids. I believe that one half of the shimmer end is synthetic and one half is natural. Even with the difference of bristles, both sides struggle to apply the shimmer shades. XOX ♥
