Price: $4.94 * Buy At: Walmart * Size: 0.12 oz / 3.4 g The Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow line has been a favorite of mine for a while & today I have Va Va Va Bloom to share with you. Va Va Va Bloom has shimmery light pink, purple, peachy gold & red violet cream shadows. Each of these shadows are very creamy and are nicely pigmented. The texture of these are softer than the Maybelline Color Tattoos. Sadly, though, these shadows are not water resistant. They will crease a little bit, but can easily be blended with your finger to remove the creasing. XOX ♥

Price: $5 * Buy At: Walgreens * Size: 0.18 oz / 5.5 mL Called Apocalips in the UK, the Show Off Lip Lacquer is a new liquid lipstick line from Rimmel. The shade I have to share today is Luna. Luna is a glossy, soft peachy apricot lip color that is super pigmented. The application of the Show Off Lip Lacquer was like applying paint to your lips (similar to the OCC Lip Tar's application). The wand has a scoop in it allowing it to hold more product which makes applying it really easy. As for the smell, it's one of those cherry-watermelon scents. It's not a really heavy scent, though, if you are one who is bothered by product scents. The wear on Luna was about 3 to 5 hours on me. I found that it lost most of the glossiness in about an hour, but then creates more of a lip stain look.
XOX ♥ Sigma recently had a 20% off code (instead of the usual 10%) so I decided to purchase a few of the brushes I've been wanting to try out. I bought 2 face brushes; the F05 Small Contour & F55 Small Duo Fibre, as well as 2 eye brushes; the E25 Blending & E47 Shader Crease. Since my purchase was over $30, I also got a free mini Sigma Spa Glove. F05 - Small ContourPrice: $16 * Buy At: Sigma & Sigma's Website http://www.sigmabeauty.com/Small_Contour_F05_p/f05.htm The Sigma F05 Small Contour brush features a rounded, dense top & is to be used for contouring cheeks, says Sigma. I wanted a small countour brush like this because I have a smaller face, and I've found that lots of brushes are too big to contour my face. This brush is nice and soft, but I find that some of the hairs stick out of the side, even as a brand new brush, this has happened to all of my Sigma brushes. I'm fine with it though, because it doesn't appear to make my makeup look any different. F55 - Small Duo FibrePrice: $16 * Buy At: Sigma & Sigma's Website http://www.sigmabeauty.com/product_p/f55.htm The Sigma F55 Small Duo Fibre creates a controlled airbrush effect on the skin & is best used with cream/powder blush or highlighting products, says Sigma. This brush is actually quite small. I new it would be since small is in the name, but it's really small! I'd also like to point out that this brush isn't very dense at all and is quite flimsy. It's because of these two things that I'm not really a huge fan of this brush. It didn't blend out my cream blush very well and I couldn't even see my highlight when using this brush! After trying to find uses for this for a month, it's safe to say that this brush is a huge letdown. The F55 also comes with a small plastic shaper to hold the shape of the Small Duo Fibre brush. E25 - BlendingPrice: $10 * Buy At: Sigma & Sigma's Website http://www.sigmabeauty.com/Blending_E25_p/e25.htm The Sigma E25 Blending brush is a popular Sigma brush that is a dupe for the Mac 217. The E25 is suggested to be used for controlled blending. The E25 does a great job blending, whether it's on your lid, in your crease or under your brow. I'm a fan of this brush because it is a more dense brush. I've never been the biggest fan of flimsy blending brushes because I don't feel like they do anything, so a more dense brush like the E25 is perfect for me. E47 - Shader CreasePrice: $10 * Buy At: Sigma & Sigma's Website http://www.sigmabeauty.com/E47_Shader_Crease_p/e47.htm The Sigma E47 Shader - Crease brush has long, firm bristles that allows you to create a firm, precise application to the crease, says Sigma. I really like this brush! It applies the shadow as opaque as your finger and somehow blends out the harsh lines! This brush is just amazing and can create the most perfect crease look when combined with the E25. Mini Spa Brush Cleaning GloveThis was just a little version of Sigma's Spa Glove, which is meant to be used to clean brushes. You can get one with any $30 purchase.
XOX ♥ I did a Naked 2 & Lorac Pro palette comparison post a while ago, but that was before I started taking pictures with my nice camera and I recently got the original Naked palette, so I thought I'd compare all 3 palettes! I hope this post is helpful! (Warning: this post is pretty long!) Product InformationLorac Pro PaletteCONTAINS: 16 Shadows x 0.02 oz & 0.17 oz Mini Behind The Scenes Eye Primer PRICE: $42 for 0.32 oz SHADES: (Mattes) White, Cream, Taupe, Lt. Pink, Mauve, Sable, Espresso, Black, (Shimmer) Nude, Champagne, Gold, Lt. Bronze, Pewter, Garnet, Deep Purple & Slate http://www.sephora.com/pro-palette-P374709?skuId=1432384 Urban Decay Naked PaletteCONTAINS: 12 Shadows x 0.05 oz, 0.13 oz Travel Sized Eye Shadow Primer Potion & Good Karma Eye Shadow Brush PRICE: $50 for 0.6 oz SHADES: Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep & Gunmetal http://www.sephora.com/naked-palette-P267200?skuId=1324532 Urban Decay Naked 2 PaletteCONTAINS: 12 Shadows x 0.05 oz, 0.11 oz Lip Junkie Lip Gloss in Naked & Good Karma Eye Shadow / Crease Brush PRICE: $50 for 0.6 oz SHADES: Foxy, Half Baked, Bootycall, Chopper, Tease, Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted & Blackout http://www.sephora.com/naked2-P302916?skuId=1393636 ValueI think that people see the Lorac Pro palette and think "This one has 16 shadows and is only $42! It's a better deal than the Naked palettes that only have 12 shadows for $50!" While that's what it can look like, it's not the truth. As you can see in the price, you are paying $42 for only 0.32 oz of product, while for $50 you get 0.6 oz of product in both Naked palettes. This is because each Lorac Pro shadow is only 0.02 oz, while each Naked shadow contains 0.05 oz of product. The Naked palettes also come with a nice brush, so while I still like the Lorac Pro palette and love the shade variety, the Naked palette and Naked 2 palette are a better value and you get more for your money. However, if you want the bigger variety of colors & finishes, than the Lorac Pro may be a better value for you. Packaging The Naked, Naked 2 & Lorac Pro palettes are all roughly the same size on the top. Where the size difference really comes in is the thickness. The Naked & Naked 2 are about the same thickness and the Lorac Pro is much thinner. This is because the Lorac Pro shadows contain less product. Despite the thickness, the Naked & Lorac Pro have similar packaging. They both are made of thinner cardboard that is kept closes by a magnet. The Naked 2 has a metal-like package that kind of snaps closed. I find that The Naked & Lorac Pro are a little easier and quicker to open, but I feel that the Naked 2 palette is going to stay closed and that the packaging will last longer. Lastly, they all have a mirror. Naked's being the smallest, Lorac Pro's in the middle & Naked 2's being the largest. Swatches & Shadow ComparisonsIn all the swatch pictures, shades written in yellow are from the Lorac Pro palette, shades in pink are from the Naked palette and shades in green are from the Naked 2 palette. Light ShadesBoth Naked palettes have 2 light shades, while the Lorac Pro has 5. First up is Foxy from the Naked 2 palette. Foxy is a matte ivory shade that doesn't show up on me at all because it's about the same color as my skin. The next 3 shades are matte and from the Lorac Pro. White & Lt. Pink are very smooth and pigmented! Cream on the other hand, doesn't have the same pigmentation. Virgin from Naked, Bootycall from Naked 2 & Champagne from Lorac Pro are all very similar. Nude from Lorac Pro and Sin from Naked are also quite alike. I also want to point out that Nude & Champagne from the Lorac Pro are extremely buttery, smooth and pigmented. Golds & BronzesEach of the palettes have a great gold. Half Baked from Naked & Naked 2 is a shimmery gold that is super pigmented and buttery. Chopper from Naked 2 is a sparkly copper shade that is also amazingly pigmented. The Lorac Pro also provides a very smooth gold shade, named Gold. This one is more yellow and a little more copper looking than Half Baked. Lorac Pro also a more neutral bronze shadow named Lt. Bronze. This shade was buttery as well, but not as pigmented as the other gold/bronze colors. Matte BrownsI'm a big fan of matte browns, so I really like that the Lorac Pro comes with 4 different shades. Naked from the Naked palette was a pretty light brown that is great to use as a transition shade. Taupe from Lorac Pro is similar but darker than Naked. Buck from Naked is very similar to taupe but it's a little warmer than Taupe. Tease from Naked 2 is one of my most used shadows, this mid-tone taupe is a great crease color. Lorac Pro's Mauve is similar to Tease and is also a favorite crease color of mine. Mauve is more purple than Tease. Lastly are Sable and Espresso from Lorac Pro. They are both dark browns, Sable being more of a red-brown. Neither Naked palettes have a matte dark brown. Shimmery BrownsThe most popular shades in the palettes were shimmery browns. About half of them are more rosey, cool toned brown and half are warm toned browns. I wouldn't consider any of these shadows dupes for shadows from the other palettes, except for Darkhorse from the Naked Palette with Busted from the Naked 2 Palette. All of these shades were very smooth and pigmented and had very similar formulas. (I forgot to swatch Hustle, so I just added it in on the end from my Naked Palette post) Blacks & GreysEach of the palettes include a shade that looks black in the pan. Blackout from the Naked 2 was the most black, Black from the Lorac Pro was more of a matte dark grey & Creep from Naked was a dark grey with glitter. Slate from Lorac Pro was a dark shimmery blue-grey. Gunmetal from Naked was similar to Slate but a little lighter and less blue. The Naked 2 has 2 true silver colors, Pistol and Verve which are both shimmery. Other ColorsThe Lorac Pro palette is the only palette to have some colors that aren't neutral. It contains the shade Garnet, which is a really pretty shimmery red & Deep Purple, which is a dark shimmery purple. Which Is Right For You?If you are in love with all of the shades from all of these palettes, I would probably suggest the Naked or Naked 2 over the Lorac Pro. While you get a nice amount of matte & shimmer shades, as well as 4 more shades, it doesn't contain as much product and I find that the Naked & Naked 2 palette shades are all easily blendable and super pigmented. I do sometime have trouble with some shades from the Lorac Pro.
If you can't decide between Naked & Naked 2, as lots of people can't, I think it just comes down to if you like warm or cool colors better. I got the Naked 2 almost a year before the Naked because I find that cool colors flatter my blue eyes and cool skin tone the best. I also think you can get the best idea about which palette you want by swatching them in a store to see them in real life. All these palettes are great for people who have a small or huge collection. They all come with a nice variety of dark, light, matte and shimmery shadows and have an unlimited amount of looks that can be created with them! I hope this post was helpful! XOX ♥ Price: $50 * Buy At: Sephora * Size: 12 x 0.05 oz (Shadows) The infamous Naked palette by Urban Decay is a palette of 12 shadows that also comes with a mini Primer Potion and a Good Karma Shadow Brush. The Naked palette has sturdy cardboard packaging that is brown and velvety. It stays closed with a magnet and also contains a small mirror in the middle of the lid. After loving my Naked 2 palette for about a year I finally picked up the original. Urban Decay's shadows are my favorite formula because they are smooth, pigmented and blend amazingly. They also have great staying power without a primer and don't normally crease. SwatchesTravel Size Primer PotionSince the Urban Decay shadows have such great lasting power, you really don't need a primer. I still think that it is really nice that they include a mini version of their popular Eyeshadow Primer Potion! Good Karma Shadow BrushFrequently when you get a brush with an eye shadow palette, they aren't the best. That is not the case with the Naked palette. The Good Karma Shadow Brush is amazing! It's soft and silky and does a great job packing on colors on to your lid. Come back tomorrow to see the Naked palette compared to the Naked 2 and Lorac Pro Palette!
XOX ♥ Price: £4.99 ($6.49) * Size: 3.5 g / 0.12 oz * Buy At: Superdrug (UK) Sleek's Website: http://www.sleekmakeup.com/lips/lip-colour/true-colour The Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Liqueur is a pink brown with a little bit of a sheen. I really love the formula of the Sleek lipsticks. They are very smooth and creamy and feel so lightweight on the lips. While I love the formula and how it feels. Sadly, this color is kind of a grandma color. I think the brown pink color itself was okay, but it had the slightest bit of frost on the lips, giving it the grandma look. While I am a little disappointed in the color and sheen, I really like the formula so I will pair it with a gloss to hide the sheen.
XOX ♥ Price: £4.99 * Buy At: Superdrug (UK) * Size: 0.23 fl oz / 7 mL (This product is currently only available in the UK) The Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Paint in Rich Russet is a taupe brown liquid, metallic shadow. The Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Paint has an applicator that is similar to a lip gloss wand, but longer. This applicator makes it easy to quickly apply the color all over the lid. Rich Russet is very pigmented and provides an opaque taupe color that applies smoothly and dries quickly. I didn't experience creasing throughout the day. I really like the idea of a liquid eye shadow, and haven't seen many others in the drugstore. I can't wait for these to come out in the US!
XOX ♥ Price: $6 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.15 oz / 4.2 g http://www.nyxcosmetics.com/p-14-matte-lipstick.aspx Nyx Matte Lipstick in Hippie Chic is described as a yellow-toned pink. Hippie Chic is a pretty bright color. However, it's not too bright that you would look ridiculous wearing it. I also think that the fact that it's matte makes it more wearable that a shimmery or pearl finish. If you have been interested in a matte finish lipstick, but are just worried about it looking and feeling dry, then I would definitely give the Nyx Matte Lipsticks a try. They are pretty smooth, especially for being matte and really don't feel drying or look flaky. However, this color looks (and feels) much better when layered over a lip balm. This makes the color a little less intense and it feels creamier. I also like to layer a gloss over this for extra moisture, like the Nyx Butter Gloss in Apple Strudel. XOX ♥
The Real Techniques Starter Set comes with 5 eye brushes as well as a 2-in-1 carrying case & brush stand. All the brushes have a purple handle that say Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman on one side & the brush's name on the other. They also have a black base. All of the brushes are very soft and silky and I haven't noticed fall out from the brushes. Deluxe Crease BrushThe Deluxe Crease Brush is my favorite out of the set. Despite it being a larger brush, it applies crease color perfectly and blends great. Although, I don't think this brush would work for really small eyes or eyes that are very close to the eye brows, since it's a larger brush. Base Shadow BrushThe Base Shadow Brush is a typical rounded shadow brush intended to apply color all over the lid. This brush isn't very dense, so it doesn't apply a very opaque color to the lid, but more of just a medium wash of color. Brow BrushThe Brow Brush is a thick, angled brush that is best for applying brow powder. You could use it for eyeliner, but it would create a thick line. I'm not the biggest fan of this brush, since it's thick it doesn't create the most natural looking brow. I would suggest this brush for people that like to heavily fill in their eye brows. Pixel Point Eyeliner BrushThe Pixel Point Eyeliner Brush is very interesting. it's a long, dense brush that is on the thicker side for eyeliner. I like to use the side of this brush to create a soft line on my upper lid with eye shadow & I like to use the tip of the brush to put shadow along my lower lash line. Accent BrushThe Accent Brush is a really tiny, short rounded shadow brush. I find that this brush does a great job at applying highlight shadows in the inner corner. XOX ♥
Price: $15 * Buy At: MAC Counters & Stores * Size: 0.1 oz MAC's lipstick in Myth is a popular color from MAC that is even one of their 14 bestsellers. Myth is described as a light neutral nude & is one of MAC's satin finish lipsticks. I would consider it more as a peachy pink nude than neutral because it isn't a browny nude. I feel that Myth can look different on every skintone. Looking at this color on tanner and warmer complexions than mine made me not like the color. But, when I actually tried it on at a MAC store, I really liked it! For anyone with a skin tone around NW20, Myth gives you the perfect nude. It may look a little darker on NW15, but would still most likely provide a nice nude shade. I think it's also safe to say that Myth isn't a color for really tan or dark skin tones, however, due to how light it is. Myth's formula is consistent with the MAC lipstick line and is creamy, pigmented and feels great on the lips. For me, Myth lasted for about 3 hours before it started to feel drying and I'd give the color itself to last 4 hours or less.
